hippiedude, the truck with no bed is actually sold and is getting the bed off the other truck soon.
Houdel, actually not wanting to sell my M816,but have a line on 2 others for sale close, hoping to get to look at both of them soon.
DMgunn,the M123 in the background actually has 1400 X 24 grader...
Another thing to check, pull the top off the carb and check your float level.Since it seems to be acting up only while going uphill I would suspect your float level is too low,as you travel up hill all the gas inside the float bowl travels to the rear thus closing off the needle valve limiting...
Folks,I really hate I missed this, this is the first time Oddball has let me down.I really pushed to get the Deuce ready in time and I guess working 12 to 16 hr days the 2 weeks before the event really didn't help at all.If plans for a rally in western NC are still a possibility I'll definetly...
Actually the Deuce ending up in a ditch was caused by another driver who was not paying attention to what side of the road they were driving on,I was procedding cautiously along a 2 lane road with hazard lights on not excedding about 25mph in low range on the Deuce. This particular driver came...
Well Crap, the Deuce shot it's rear main seal out around the NC/SC line this morning and flooded the clutch, barely made it back home under it's own power(5 th gear is useless at this point)so not gonna make it to the rally at all. This Sucks!! Was really looking foward to it too.Oh well hopefully...
A word on towing a 5 ton with a Deuce.....DON"T!!!!!!!! I speak from expierence here, had my M52A1 5 ton tractor break down not far from home once.Deuce was the most convinent to get to(never mind that I have a M816 wrecker just as close)To make a long story short.I had to walk home to get the...
More pics, the trailer also had a full set of top bows and a next to new vinyl cargo cover.
P.S. I also got 16 900X20 NDCC tires with the deal, all have 50% or better tread(some brand new)with 10 of em being already mounted on wheels.
Well,as promised, here's the pics.None of the recovery(I always seem to forget the camera,Hmmm)but a few of both trucks sitting at home after an uneventful trip. The kinda sand colored Deuce runs good, but it needs a clutch and the t-case jumps out of high range(both replacment parts came with the...
Leaving about 8 AM to go and pick up 2 "new to me" Deuces, hopefully driving both of em home.I'll post pics of the escapade when I get home tomorrow(hopefully).
Appdeuce,
I live less than a hour away from you,i'd be glad to go look at the truck with you and help in your decision.PM me if you are interested,
