    Well,at this point I have enough "seat time" in the 816 to answer this,It varies between 4 and 6.6 mpg,depending on load and towed loads.Both trips to haul home the 2 M123's I purchased(about 31K and 22K respectively) the 816 got about 4.3 mpg.Both trips to Aberdeen averaged between 5.6 and 6...

    Mack NO That's a real ARMY truck!!

    The NO's ran a Mack model EY inline 6cyl gasoline engine,707 ci,159 hp @2100 rpm,534 ft/lbs torque @800 rpm.Governed speed is 2100 rpm,max speed of the the truck is 32 mph.The NO's shared many of the driveline components with the later M series 10 ton M123/125 trucks.

    Well,went out to move the M200A1(to remove the waste oil tank mounted on it) decided to use the Deuce.Ck the oil,jump in the cab,hit the start button.Engine starts,runs 2 seconds and dies,Hmmmm.Try again,same result.Hmmm,1 more time,start,apply fuel,POP!!! notice something flying from the stack...

    Ok,gonna interject my 2cents here,I'd go with the FS 595A standard 24087 semi-gloss OD and the all white markings and stars.True it doesn't stand out as much,but the truck stands out from modern day MVs.
