    need advice new here

As far as I know, no Detroit is a multifuel capable. And, caps, punctuation are your, and everyone else's, friend. Please use them, it makes things much easier to read [thumbzup]

    Alternator Rotation Direction

Maybe a hot start? An alternator putting 90-100-110 amps and 14volts into a low or dead battery will be faster than using a charger even in crank assist. It's no more unsafe than if you were to push start a dead vehicle and the on board alt started charging. A hot start will put enough voltage...

    Deuce trany help

And it's not the "trany", it's the flywheel housing on the engine.

    plastic air line leak

That's a quick disconnect fitting. Push in on the collar and pull the line out. The line is most likely OK and the leak is the fitting. Wonder why plastic was used??? Go to NAPA or a local truck dealer like KW, Peterbilt. etc and get a new one. You can get a brass one like the one you have or a...

    Strange electrical problem

:ditto: Just for an experiment, clip jumper cables to the - side of the batteries and then to a clean spot on the frame and body then see if things work.

They aren't doing things on the weekends anymore, only a weekday and they are so busy that you gotta call the day of as well as in advance to see if plans change.

    oil change procedure

TORQUE the can hold downs, the tube is hollow and the nut part is only affixed to the tube with a roll pin. Too much tightening will shear the pin off and don't let the cans rotate when you tighten them. It can cut the gasket and then you'll have a mess! Look carefully, sometimes the gaskets are...

    Bad head gasket or worse?

No cross contamination, don't worry about it. Some vehicles hold pressure over night, some don't .

    Replacement radiator

    Check your water pump!

    290 cummins

What I'm saying is for the 855, there is one crank. The N14 is different, some counter weights have been removed and the rod journals are larger.

    250 doesn't start

The pump only makes flow at idle, no measurable pressure even cranking. If there is pressure in the gauge when cranking, I'd check the manual shut off on the pump. It's pumping, but not getting past the FSOV,

    290 cummins

    They are all cast

    250 doesn't start

Why did you "try" to adjust the valves? Did you touch the injector settings?

    290 cummins

Formula just means it is a 1900 governed engine, for fleet fuel economy. The oil pressure is deemed by the system, DFC or FFC. It's been a bit, but IIRC DFC,( demand flow cooling v.s FFC, full flow cooling), has the OP regulated at 40 PSI hot, rated RPM, that might be backwards, like I said...
