Don't take any plugs out of the head, don't take parts off the pump...except the shut off if needed. The PT system is self priming. Try running out of a bucket and see if it'll start.
I have to back mine out every time I drive it. Popo go all butt hurt that I had the 105 backed in and the tongue under the front bumper of the truck. I have to back it out 30 yards, turn it around and back the trailer into it's spot every time I wana drive the truck. R4X4 is correct, just watch...
make sure the manual fuel shut off is pushed forward...the little lever on the top of the pump. Also, theses are known for rotted fuel lines, could be sucking air.
Buy one that is registered already. It'll save you the DMV headache. If you don't, DO NOT use DMV, use a registration service that does salvage titles. They'll know what buttons to push.
CUMMINS...not cummings.
90 psi is normal at cold start. You are correct thinking that the sender and gauge aren't matched. Should read around 30 at hot idle and 50-60 at 2000 or so RPM hot.
You'll most likely need both. Gas set up to remve stubborn items, help take dents out and re furbing parts that need straightening/bending. A MIG for bkt and part fab and repair of large items. Get a MIG with gas, not a flux wire.
