OK. Remove the stud and clean the threads really good. Put some liquid Teflon sealer on the threads and reinstall the bolt. Good Luck. And I think the welding of the bracket is your only option at the moment.
Time to work on the M1009. Expect good things when I report back at the end of the day. Minor updates and progress but I am still without heat in my barn. I hope Santa arrives soon with heat and updated lighting. I have been a very good boy. This is me in my barn. HA HA. Happy Holidays. Enjoy Life.
Bring that old rusty gate up this way. I am sure I have another one that is in better shape than what you are working on. Don't want to get deleted again so.

Check this out. This gate was scrap when I started and I spent time and effort to get it decent and usable again.

Here you go. They have all the parts you need. May I also suggest that you replace the side window channels while you are in there. They are a real drag ion the window and sash assembly. Many...
That looks like one I built back in 2013. I am sure it is not but one of the members here had the M1009 I built back then. Good Luck. Have Fun. They are tough durable vehicles unless you start hacking them up and lifting them. That vehicle still has a great value in the stock condition. Happy...
After tormenting myself trying to get these double nuts back on the axle spindles. I ordered some new spindle nuts I know a lot of times the small lock pins are worn down on the inner nut from not being installed correctly. These nuts are readily available and if yours are worn and the pin is...

Live and learn. Do NOT reuse U bolts. I did many times but decided to check on this today. Glad I did. Most times I just burn them off and get new ones. Little Red has new ones and I am just going to toss them and replace them. They are not worth any issues. Just replace them. I got in many...

Sezzo do tell about this product. What is the first thing I need to do without a lot of reading? I can follow instructions better and don't want to make mistakes. I want to get working on the interior floors. I want to get...
This m1009 is very clean. I parked it in the barn in the md 90's and have marveled at it ever since. Shame is I should have left it the way it was and not fixed the damaged 1/4 panels. i do NOT like the antenna brackets they did a lot of body damage to many CUCV's. The rear antenna brackets are...
It was twenty years ago today
CUCVRUS put the M1009 away
They've been going in and out of the barn
But its guaranteed to raise a smile
So may I introduce to you
Kampfwagen M1009

Page 4. An over all view of the Edmond Fitzgerald M1008. With a load of rock salt 5 tons more than the Edmund Fitzgerald weighed empty. We don't need no stinkin floor boards. I would have never left it get this far gone. But I wasn't responsible for it. Only when it breaks do I hear about it...
