I'd certainly fab local, but that does beg to question:
If there is a demand for it, certainly a knock-down kit could be made, sold, and shipped anywhere in the upper 48 for well below half of that (then welded up locally).
After all, it's really just a brush guard and does not necessarily...
Not seeing it in the TM.
I seem to recall someone telling me that the M1078 A0 air pump holds the tanks at 290 psi.
I want to get a hose to keep in the toolbox for various situations and I need to make sure it is suitable. I've found hoses ranging from 100-300 psi.
Thanks
I was wondering if anyone has ever replaced the alarm with a simple red light.
While the various tones might not translate over to visual well, it would still give you a clue something is afoot (or it could work quite well visually).
I've never pulled the buzzer, but now I want to go have a...
I guess you have to keep them in the stock pattern for the mil-spec guys, but if it were me I would rotate the labeling 90° to the left so it can be seen at a glance by the crew (not that most won't know by the position, but still if I redo anything on my truck I'm doing it better than mil-spec...
There was a 2008 BAE Systems M1078A1 in Cali that went for over $25k on GP.
I watched that live just shaking my head.
But yeah newer truck and location, location, location.
Still, after fees and taxes that's well over $30K. As niche as this market is, something like that isn't going to fetch...
Personally, I wouldn't mind the rally-truck "look" for an LMTV. Of course it becomes fake knowing full well the limitations on our trucks, but that doesn't make it an awful concept. I think the MULE build is a good example (sort of "rally look" to a display platform).
Like I used to say...
Well if it's just a poser rally truck build, you don't really need an extraordinarily talented fabricator.
You can just get a couple bolt-together rollbars from JC Whitney and screw them to the floor.
;p
Oddly enough, I've been rather shocked at the number of owners I've read about (mostly new of course) who simply didn't know about or didn't check the knob. My neck would scream bloody murder if those bags were down. LOL
Heh, you know those trucks are pure shell and DOM tubing on top of...
And checking the nut on the air compressor gear set is a wise call. I've seen a number of videos where people fried their engines as a direct result of that failure.
It was an upgrade specified by the Army (removing the nut and replacing with a locknut) but obviously a lot of these trucks were...
I don't think resign-based potting will "melt off" inverted on an oven rack. It will "gel" at it's "liquidation" point, but not "flow".
Any increase in heat beyond that would simply start to burn things...
Looks like about the same size box as I'm going with (a 14' ambulance box like Coachgeo is using as well). His truck already has the spare and intake removed, but I plan on leaving it like you did then add a slight cut in the rear to maintain the departure angle.
Love what you did for the...
