    Arrived...........the M1009/BIAB1 from german M1008

My Father fixed this problem with my brothers 1957 Harley. He told him if he parks it with one mile of his house, he would get his Ford 150 out and run the darn thing over. Then drag what was left to the dump. I think they did not speak with one another for about 8 years after that.

    mep 003 AVR PINOUT

Well that explains a lot! I think we were all assuming you had an OEM regulator! That's what we get for making ass-umptions. Well, really, I also assume someone should tell us that.

Like I wrote, everyone has his own idea of what is enough. Over the years in the Army, my motto was, "If one is good, three is better." In todays world, I would have at least two back up gen sets.

Bought another non-running 802a, begins to start, then falls off (Now a fix up thread)

There is one other possability. When you have the isolatators out, see if they have a part number on them. Check that against the -24P. If someone put MEP-803 isolatators in the set, that could be the problem. The 802A has a much stiffer isolatater.

As long as the batteries are charged, and the glow plugs work, this set will start in the Arctic.

I can not see you needing a block heater. Maybe in Alaska. There are several threads about what parts to have on hand. EVERYONE, has his own opinion about that. So spend a little time going through those threads. I am sure someone will jump in here to comment. Welcome to the Forum!

Missing plastic ductwork of some kind on M1165

It just makes it easier to give people a NSN and part number, so they KNOW what you want. No, I wasn't being a nag, (or not much). It just cuts out the misunderstandings.
