You are posting the same problem in several threads. This is not in accordance with the forum rules. What you need to do is start a thread of your own.
Run it 2 hours at 7 KW. Then step it up to 9, and run it an hour, maybe two. Then step it up to 10 and run it an hour, or two. That will clean up the carbon and you have a good running set. Take a bunch of GOOD pictures, up close, and post them. We might see things you dont.
By old and new, I meant, one was for the 60 hertz model, and the 400 hertz model, they were the first versions. Then came the new regulator that was for both the 60 and 400 hertz. Simply a matter of moving the wires/jumper around. I would think the first version would be about impossible to find...
