Need Radiator for Case loader- stolen

I've found the part number for the radiator- NSN 2930-01-179-8150 manufacturers number E299000. Called Case, apparently they are totally remaning these units for the military, so all the parts are readily availible. Just hoping to find a cheaper one if possible.

Need Radiator for Case loader- stolen

Oh I know, I only took it as such. I've seen lots of people do things the wrong way. I would rather you ask how I had done it so that I could learn the right way if I had happened to do it the wrong way, then continue to do it the wrong way until something happened. I passed a road grader on a...

Need Radiator for Case loader- stolen

Overall height was 14ft 4in. Local power and cable companies were called in advance, nothing on the route less than 16ft. I also had an overheight and overwidth permit. I had taken the flags off the trailer so I didn't break them unloading the loader. Anything else? :p

Need Radiator for Case loader- stolen

I had already started pulling chains off when I thought to take a pic with my phone. You can still see one of the chains under the belly. I had two on the front, two under the belly, and 3 on the rear. give me some credit guys... ;-) Yes, the museum's insurance will cover the damage, I just...

Need Radiator for Case loader- stolen

Hey Guys, Well, I moved the Town of Winnsboro's loader for use by the RR Museum in moving all our old railroad ties on Sat. It was sitting down by the quarry, hidden from view for weeks. As soon as we moved all our equipment up the line to a new loading point, which is right out in the open...

    Reversed t-case as "overdrive" unit

I paid $1450 for the set of G177 11r20 tires for the m109- the OD gears would basically be the same kind of investment. Worth it in my mind.

I know Mike, that also factored into my ORM- Operational Risk Management. 8-)

Yep. It's not the fact it's doubles, it's what it is that makes it illegal. You can tow a 5th wheel camper with a boat or jetski behind it in SC, but it's only because the first trailer is a 5th wheel. And I knew we risked getting pulled on the way to Mitch's, but sometimes... you've just got...

Hey Aubrey, Man, sorry to hear about your battery troubles! When I checked the terminal tightness it might have been corroded, and started to fail. Really glad you made it home safe, I was glad to be of help.

Last 10 Ton from Beyel Bros.

I love it, nice save. Try to do that with any modern vehicle, let it sit for 10yrs then put a battery and starter on and go. Aing't going to happen. They don't build them like they used to.

    M818 Trailer

An M818 can pull a civilian trailer, and the air brakes will work on the trailer just fine. There isn't a air parking brake valve in the cab, or tractor protection valve though. http://www.steelsoldiers.com/military-vehicle-road-trips/46511-got-drive-1-600-miles-1-5-miles-railroad.html...

    M818 Trailer

M270, but it didn't come with ramps. Easy to build some though. Or buy a set from a M172 (HEAVY) An M270 is the trailer I really want, for the 40ft useable deck. There are a couple of other types, but they are high trailers (standard flatbed type) Unless you want to go overwidth for the...

    M818 Trailer

Both. There aren't any drop trailers that are of a military design. they do own some, but they are purchased 'off the lot' as it were. So, that leaves plenty of trailers, but they are ramped and/or overwidth. I have a m172a1, it is overwidth, but that's only $100 a year for a permit. (at least...

I forgot to add that Makincold (Tim) graciously let me use his m818 (that the engine got loaded onto at Jackson) to pull Phil to Mitch's and unload the engine. So thanks to Tim as well.

Glad to hear it is in and opt test is sat! I had to unfortunetly head off to work at 5am right after we got the new engine in on the mounts and bolted to the bellhousing. I had to drive the 5ton back to the museum in Winnsboro, then get my pickup to go to the base. Wound up staying up all day at...
