Fill Jet A1 into the humvee?

10-15 years after this study was done, the CECOM mandated that all units using JP8 in gen sets, were to add oil to the fuel tank. I can not produce a document, as its been too long ago, and I tossed out all that stuff in 2010. But I saw and read the directive.

Fill Jet A1 into the humvee?

Of course you can. Jet A1 is JP8 with an additive, to keep water from freezing at high altitude. I bet, if you look in the Operators TM, list of authorized fuels, its even listed.

Did it have this problem before the oil change?

    802 dies, no overload fault

Seafoam is cheap. Try that before doing anything else. Are the IP's adjusted right? Use an IR gun to see if the jug temps are close to one another.

    High oil pressure on MEP-805B

Is this gen set new to you? Have you serviced this gen set? Oil and filter? How many hours on the meter? Have you downloaded the TM's, and maybe read them a bit?

    Essex 427 loadbank

That sounds right. Most of the problems I saw, were due to the cooling circuit safety switch not allowing the CB to close. But if you have use separate 24 volts to test it, then you have it right.

#2 MEP 805B oh the joys

KISS. Thats what I like about the 005A. BUT, there is always a but, it too is showing its age. I think its easier to fix, and I think if someone comes up with some after market reverse engineering, the 005A will live lots longer then I ever will.

    MEP-802/803 load bank info

There is not a set schedule for load testing. The Reset standard, was something that they came up with, and that is for their program, no one else. The Factory load test form, was only good for the transfer of the machine to the Military. It was in effect, a "Quickie" test. There is no place...

    MEP006A

I dont think so. If you have an A11 that works right, try it in your problem gen set. Every time you put another A11, or Vr in the set, you have different problems.

    MEP006A

I changed the VR in the A11 and when I started the unit up the freq and voltage gage went full dial then to nothing, (This tells me that the S9 is sending inital excitation to the Main gen. Thats good. The volts/hertz drops off because the A11/VR is not taking over.) I put the original VR back...
