Yes that sucks. So I would go with the "definitely empty" Plus 4 gallons. ( run-out reserve)and zero fuel on the gauge. At this point add fuel and see the first indication on the gauge indicates a true value. ( which is ok for you to interpret on journeys).

Is it electric start or hand crank? If it is coil ignition and not magneto, then low battery power (discharge) will certainly make it misfire. (and eventually stop). my 1pence worth. let us know the eventual cure. NOW I just researched and it is a diesel! So rough running could be Filter, or...

Congratulations on owning a "monster truck". That is quite a distance to pay delivery. But driving it back MIGHT! be a little expensive. Post up pictures when you can, unloading on arrival etc.

That particular yard bids on and clears civilian vehicles left/ abandoned after servicemen leave, or finish a tour of duty leaving stuff behind. They pay the vat and taxes due (if any) selling to purchasers to register and M.O.T. if applicable.

I don't know how you turned that engine with a jammed starter motor. If the starter motor is jammed in gear with the flywheel then you should turn the engine BACKWARDS. ( if a car jams you put it in, say, 3rd gear, and ROCK it backwards. OR, reverse and ROCK it forwards. If the starter motor is...

Fuel gauges and senders are a nightmare on military vehicles. And if one works correctly with full range indications, its a miracle. I get the level of the fuel to the Least pick up point, and then adjust to make sure the indication gauge reads empty. (plus 1 gallon.) Just my modus operandum. I...

I had that trouble using firefox. also, the set resolution can effect pages. What system and programs are you using, without that information, it is just guesswork.

Hmm, And they do fit multiple batteries for good reason. Things get hot when working hi current draws. (fewer batteries).
