Are they serious??? Any competent vehicle electrician would ground the case and check the output while rotating the unit. They would work out which does what from there surely? field armature or earth. They could just use a voltmeter between the pins. They can also measure impedance between...
It is AMAZING, some people on SITE really do come up with a good idea every now and then, renews my faith in my SITE bretheren.
Or, A fine example of stating the obvious!. (We used to tell new squadies, well, It's only flat at the bottom...just turn it round a bit!.
You would surely already have asked the seller why he has no documentation?. Life is extremely difficult in any country trying to register a vehicle without proper paperwork. Get him to inform you just where and from who he bought the truck, and work from there. Good luck.
Heck, you should be able to carry a bus, forklift, or tractor in that thing!. I have carried all those in a deuce. No problem. (Your truck won't even know it's on board.)
Wow, that was a bad experience, but you(at least) have a result. sounds like it could have been (a lot) worse. Now to enjoy the ownership and use must be (somewhat of) a relief.
Welcome to the hobby. Take (very) good care if you assemble the tires and wheels yourself As mentioned before, a hoist is more than useful for your application. Pictures and more detail anticipated. good luck.

Well that is so upsetting, and especially IF they are stuck down the rod passages somewhere. Bit late now..But always keep a "bits" box for such items Off vehicle.
Most all the older vehicles including jeeps etc have the single rubber seal.(and) it seals by pressure applied. as mentioned before. Seems like those new (old stock?) units would benefit from new seals all round, But then so would the old units have surely?.
Naughty that, You should have changed all the other related parts at the engine out stage. Good practice. I was going to remind you of that, thought Alex might have!..but I was sidetracked. Check for free play at the pedal though first.
Welcome to this site, hobby, friendships and events to come. From "over the water"..(the Thames!). You should come to the Clacton airshow offshoot on Thursday.
That Airshow will proceed (with restrictions after the recent hunter accident. (A silence will be observed.))
The offshoot is At The old...
From the pictures, that vehicle looks like it could be finished to easily be a show event truck. Agree the value at +3.5 k. If you get it for less, then you have won. Especially if, as the previous poster mentioned, it is not a rust bucket, starts runs and stops ok. Keep us informed with...
