That truck would be a good restoration project. I bet the engine sounds the nuts!. I like the Holmes gear on the back, makes it look even more business like.

Thanks for that, (that was pretty painless) I always use full text as it takes so little time and effort and makes for an easier read. Keep posting picture of your progress with your truck. You have a great start in that one.

New CUCV, New to Automotive, New Problems

The PO of my truck had no experience wrenching so asking him questions and for help is useless for me ? Swyzzlestickz, when posting please don't use "obscure" abbreviations that could leave the uninitiated guessing..And a very Zafy2, nice truck, looks (just) too clean to...

CUCV first start after long hibernation?

You seem to have a good notion of what to do. It's just common sense really. Anything you to prior to trying to start is is beneficial, Though I have started diesels that have stood longer than that without much initial servicing. And one deuce multifuel we had stood for 4 years started right up...

Yes, all very well to say, But as an ordinary chap with an ordinary income, (now well retired!) It takes most of it to support my collection in fuel maintenance repairs and fuel. I can and do try to participate at as many events as I can. But I no way could afford to ship anything to the U.S.A...

Need help buying a Deuce not sure its the right buy!!!!!!!!!

In my humble opinion..it is. But then why would you not wish to enjoy a screaming turbo, free fuel. and quite adequate performance. Had a cummins engine in zill once, didn't rate it all that much (even with an 8 speed gearbox). Reckon a truck without the "whistle" is just..another truck.
