Safe Driving Speed and Tire Size on M939 Series Trucks

Spicergear try and find a big truck tire shop that can balance on the truck. Back to the subject of speed and load the adjustment chart looks good for the 177s but the 14.00s are restricted speed tires that are 55mph max that the chart shouldn't be used for. And just so nobody thinks I am a old...

Safe Driving Speed and Tire Size on M939 Series Trucks

That's not a blowout that's a flat. I have had 14.00 x 20s blowout and I can say that if a fully aired up 14 blows out it sounds like a hand grenade going off and will scare the crap out of most folks. And at 55+ they come apart faster than you can slow down and will beat the fenders off your...

    Can I stack a mep-002a and a mep-016D ?

Yeah that would be chief Seewright and his bunch of great guys and yes if you want I can preview stuff, and yeah I think I know a little about all the five tons coming out of there I have probably touched almost 1500 or more have lost count of how many I have moved out of there.

M936 New hydraulic hoses and a little paint on wrecker bed!

Yes good buddy they are the same but unlike some would have use believe they were also on 816s and 936s what I think is odd is I have seen more on 936s than any other wreckers. But maybe I have just seen more Alaska 936 wreckers than any of the others. Which is odd living in south Mississippi...

Safe Driving Speed and Tire Size on M939 Series Trucks

Can you show us that in writing from a tire manufacture? If so I would like to see it because all the speed ratings I have been told about in the past were you go over that speed and the tire sees so much stress it starts to heat up and come apart, don't take this as a shot at you I have pushed...

HD Motor on Hoist leaking (M936)

That seems to be common on the newer 936 wreckers but it should be a straight forward fix. R&R the seal and should be good to go as to the cause does anyone know if the main pumps and pressures are the same on the m936 and the m816?

    M939 Transfercase shifting

Nf6x have you looked at the tc pto lever? That's the one that is just a piece of flat stock that bends way to easy, think I am going to reinforce it some.

M816 Wrecker- Pioneer tool rack location

I have seen them on the side of the bed, inside and out. On the toolbox lid inside. On the side and top of the boom. On the back of the gondola. And in between the cab and spare tire on the back of the mount. On the top of the front fender. So pretty much wherever you want.

Safe Driving Speed and Tire Size on M939 Series Trucks

Not to be driven over 55mph.

    M939 Transfercase shifting

Yeah why not just unhook it? The air or linkage see no need to cut anything!

    M939 Transfercase shifting

I think I am going to disable the front axle engagement for low range if possible I haven't looked closely at if it can be done. There are lots of times I use low range and don't need the front axle pulling.

    M939 Transfercase shifting

No this has nothing to do with reverse and low range which you should not do!
