MEP-002A Exhaust Question plus Machine Resurrection

Mostly, the S7 gets out of adjustment, due to "Knob Dicking". Knob Dicking is the fine art of fooling with things that don't need to be fooled with. In the HAWK ADA (Air Defense Artillery) world, back in the 70's to 90's, Everything in the system had self checks. The accepted readings were in...

MEP-002A Exhaust Question plus Machine Resurrection

Good pictures! If I remember right, I had to adjust the S7, 2-3 times to get it right. Take your time and test it 20 times before putting the cover back on.

    M185A3 tool list

Something I just remembered. Every SKO, Set, Kit or Outfit, has a "LINE ITEM" number, looks something like this. W32182. If you have the line item number, its much easier to find the SC. If you know what type of unit, needed that Tool kit, we could look for a TO&E. Table of Organization and...

MEP-002A Exhaust Question plus Machine Resurrection

Guy, I am also dyslexic, and I have ADHD. That was not a thing when I was in school, I was just classified as a problem child. But over theyears I have learned to make the adhd work for me, I just generally have several things going at once so I do not have to stay focused on any one thing too...

    M185A3 tool list

Here is the deal. The M109A2 and M185A3 are just trucks, with a van box mounted on the back. The M185A3 had several different tool kits, that it could be outfitted with. We need to know which one has the vice. Each Tool Kit, had a document called an SC. Proper name, Supply Catalog. What it...

MEP-002A Exhaust Question plus Machine Resurrection

As soon as Guy read off that list of wiring and said that is all there is to it I about died laughing. I figured you were headed to the liquor store about then. A lot of people do not realize that to some of us this is no big deal, have diagram can repair. But to others a diagram and anything...

MEP-002A Exhaust Question plus Machine Resurrection

OK. The reason your K3 will not close is because you do not have a path to ground. You jumped from TB4-10, On wire #P57B to A1-5, Through CR1, to A1-6, through wire #P58A to K3-X1. And it did not start. So your problem can not be here. Then you jumped from K3-X2 to TB4-12. And it started...

MEP-002A Exhaust Question plus Machine Resurrection

Make a jumper wire. Go from TB4-10 to K3-X1. Try and start it. Try 10-15 times, if it starts, just to be sure. If it wont start, move your jumper to K3-X2 to TB4-12. Same drill

Look at picture #2 in post #30. Turn the zip ties, so the "zip tie clamp" is against the side of the gen set. Keeps the wires away from the side of the set. You will probably never run the set long enough to have a problem with wire chafing, but this is something we always did, and it helps keep...
