Welcome to the site, and the hobby. Glad you are managing to sort out the problems, Try ticking the remember me box when signing in. I get those same issues from time to time, mostly if I take a while typing something when I click post I'm told to sign on! (again) So now I always copy my text...
Welcome to the site, hobbies and friendships with rallies to come. Great looking truck. Also very pleased to note that your No.2. is about to take off that wheel and set about checking the wheel bearings etc!..
there is no "pic" ( would like to see it) but glad you got it fixed and your back on track. We are following you with great interest, and well wishes in the trip. beautiful pictures.
Sounds an interesting project, some pictures of the vehicle and the location of the part of the floor you want to modify might get some more response. keep us up to date with your progress.
You will probably have noted that the hole is actually square further down into the recces, But, odds are your (only just) too short cable is not reaching down there. We have encounted that problem from time to time, Re-route the cable or (as I have done many times) shorten the outer, which is a...

Welcome to the site and hobby. That truck is good start, you will soon have it up to par. Power wash it and then check where the leaks are coming from. Check the grounds (earths) behind the dash and see if the clocks function properly. Horn and washer pump no big deal, an easy fix. (or replace)...
Welcome, and a Great looking original truck. As said before you are going to have problems, as the water and mud will be everywhere inside the engine and other parts. You should NOT attempt to turn the engine over because items like push rods and and inlet and exhaust valves will be rusted in...
First welcome to the site hobby and freindships to come. If you are a dab hand at things mechanical you could fabricate the brackets easily. Asuming you have the tools and equiptment etc. If not you will have to call on the expertise of someone who has. A freind of mine put dodge power steering...
