    Need to ID This cable

They look smaller and with less pins than a standard plug.

Do I really want a heater?

Whidbey, is that a 5 ton distrabution box? I notice it is opposite a standard deuce one. I am also having reservations about installing mine. I know I want a heater for my Alaska trip, but now I'm leaning towards a fuel fired one. Anyone have a fuel fired heater kit they will trade for a NOS...

    Practical uses for a Deuce

It's like 'Field of Dreams' If you buy it, the reasons will come. :-D Trust me, I never thought I would need it until I got it, then I had a use for it all the time. I even used my m109 to weigh down a railroad floatbridge so it could hook to the railroad barge. I had 2k from my great...

    Thinking of buying a M116A3

Chris, in that shape, I'd say $200-$250. You could do better at GL. Lots of trailers going for minimum bid if you are willing to wait/go farther.

Yet another reason to hate singled directional shoed deuces.

I agree 110%. I'm down to one truck but I will never sell my tow bar or slave cable. Just a note- if you slave start your dead truck just to move it around, that you either have batteries in the tray or the pos wire is not making contact with a gound somewhere! Check BEFORE plugging in the cable!

Yet another reason to hate singled directional shoed deuces.

Not caused by the single tire setup. Caused by the radials. Sevo and I have towed several, and it is the radials fault. Even had a truck we towed then swapped the radials on, did it from then on. Dito on the seatbelt, but you don't want to tow it too far that way, it will eat those front tires...

    Alredneck needs truck loading help!

Ha Ha Ha I wish we had an SS train to deliver stuff... I'll give you a discount  Glad you got that stuff loaded.

Need to transport M35A3 from GL Barstow, CA to Redlands, CA *URGENT*

Anyone out there with a towbar and a deuce or 5 ton? That's how I get most of them off Jackson for guys. Seeing as I'm the one who caused the 'no drive off the lot' rule...

Winch on trailer with remote would be nice right about now... I'm sure someone can come to his rescue! I would if I were closer...

    2x M211 listed DRMS Minot

It totally amazes me how stuff stays 'hidden' for so long in the gov supply system. I bought some camp stoves once, two stacks of 5 complete stoves. one stack looked like new, the other was dusty and had some surface rust. Come to find out the new ones were 1983 manufactured and the dirty ones...

    In-Cab Mods (Pics)

It will work but there have been some discussion about drawing large loads off just one battery, some say there will be a power inbalance and other not so good things. I have personally connected one of the cigarette lighter plugs with clamps to one battery, then run the phone charger or GPS...

    Lockout hubs

Spraque trucks have no air valve on the dash. The wear on the rear axles isn't the biggest issue when deciding which axle to put a lockout hub on. If you were going to bob it, you could leave either axle, but if you left the rear it would still be as long as a stock deuce, so I'm not sure...

    Road trip to Alaska

Hey Bjorn, Is that the stock location for the jerry can? Makes it pretty handy to the tank. Nope, it is a coolent heated heater. I have several new kits, so that's what I'm installing. Thanks for the cool tip just the same. :-D

    2009 GA Rally-trader on line

I will have two brand new (well, 12/90 manufacture) M35 cab heater kits. (coolent) and I will be bringing a bunch of Optima batts, brand new blems. $110 each. And a bunch of NOS 9/71 wood bed bows for 5 tons and deuces.

    Road trip to Alaska

Started to install the cab heater today, only got as far as unpacking the kit and fitting some stuff up. Wish the directions were a little better. I think I have to drill holes to mount the diverter box to the firewall?

    GMC Model AFKX-352

I will buy it AND give him a shed or something similar to store parts in! Think he would trade for a 1973 running/driving bus? :-D

    Deuce Battery Options?

I get blemish batteries from the interstate dealer warehouse in columbia. Optimas, red top, 1000cca, $60 NEW. Also can get 'standard' 1000cca batteries for $35... I'll never buy a retail battery again. Anyone have any battery requests for GA? I could buy a bunch and bring them down...

    Road trip to Alaska

Sounds like you've done that trip many times. Added to spares list- 2 windshields. :-D Also another member had suggested headlight guards. I could whip some up out of expanded metal pretty quick.
