Interstate! Your clutch and leg will thank you! I'm constantly amazed at what I see on the interstate at 55mph instead of 75-80.
I'm in Columbia, but if you get into a super jam, I can help.
Ha! as soon as I saw pic one I knew who was doing your hauling. Great job!
Chris's has stalled to a halt, and I can do nothing to mine living in a town house. Plus the wife says if I leave the box on this truck I can get another whole truck... So, you know... :-D
Neil, you got my number...
I believe the way the marker light bulbs work with two elements is one is a higher resistance, so when the lower one burns out, the other one kicks in.
We had some bulbs like that on the ship, for the mast top lights. There was even an indicator on the bridge that told you when the bulbs were...
I would second this advice, as I have a personnal story with said solvents. I was painting my old school bus one day, then went to clean the gun. I wound up breathing a large amount of paint thinner fumes. My throut just about closed up. I had chemical burns from my mouth to where my Trachea...
I've had this happen to several alternators. I was able to fix the last one by adjusting the voltage via the set screw on the alternator. It should stop charging when you shut off the master switch. If not, the wiring might have been messed with.
Hello, and welcome to the site!
GL can be the worst company in the world to deal with, and sometimes everything goes just fine. Some people are willing to pay several thousand dollars just to avoid the GL and paperwork hassle, so you take from that what you will.
It can be a great way to get...
Like Frodo, I have also towed a large trailer with a dolly behind the deuce. It is slower, but as long as the trailer/towed truck brakes work you will be ok. Just give yourself lots of stopping room and be careful.
Its not an M35a2,
but it should still count. You want to know what one will tow? how about a 150ton locomotive with 6 90ton stone hoppers behind it? Our only locomotive died on the barge, and we had to get it unloaded. I happened to drive the deuce to work that day. So that makes 690 tons. or...
This all makes perfect sense. Sell everything themselves, shuts down smaller stores (like mine) and when most of the surplus stores are closed, GL will have yet again another monopoly. Also, there would be less 'noise' about the flow of surplus stopping one day. No or hardly any surplus store...
And Chris (and I) would like to know where the best source for the newer/better gaskets would be? the typical dealers? someone with a recommendation on the best place?
I don't understand, was the engine and tranny demilled? if not, drive that sucker to the museum! I've seen them move locomotives down the road under their own power- why not a tank? clear everything with the Feds and the locals- DOT, have a police escort, put it in the paper as a parade and...
