I have the block and the various cables and chains stored in ammo boxes in the bed. Works out good, the troop seats can be used and I just push the boxes under the seats.
Just depends. Sometimes trailers go fot the minimum, $150.00 and sometimes quite a bit more. Kinda depends on location, time of year, condition and how many are up for auction at the time. Best thing to do is look for one that suits your fancy and bid what you wanna spend an d see what happens.
If it is a Cummins, the F/P is a positive displacement gear pump and will pick the fuel up by itself. If you are having issues getting it to pick up, there is a problem somewhere in the system. TAKE IT EASY ON THE STARTING FLUID, unless you want to re ring it! Fill the filter, crank it and hold...
That is the air dryer. There could just be some crap in the valve. You can take the valve out of the bottom...Just make sure there is no air in the system.

I think there is a detent that is serviceable from the outside. Let me go look at the TM.
After looking, IIRC, the detent is accessable from a plug on the top drivers side or from under the plate on top of the case assembly.
Here is where reading the manuals comes into play. It would suck if the procedure you were doing got botched because you didn't read the book, left out a step and ruined the compressor. They are here in the TM section for free. When you put together, be mindful of the oil supply passage and...
