It's time to do some electrical troubleshooting. Get a VOM if you don't have one and start following the circuits. Start with a circuit that doesn't have power and trace it back to where you do have power. That is where your problem will be. I've attached an electrical schematic.
Thanks. I have an M35A3 that has a Haldex air dryer with a 24 VDC heater. It works quite well and something similar would fit quite easily in that space. I was actually surprised that the SEE didn't come with an air dryer.
Where exactly is the storage box located on a SEE? Mine (1987) doesn't have one, or perhaps it was removed. I see in the manual that there are two different tool storage boxes, one smaller one located behind the backhoe seat and under the fuel can mount and another much larger one located next...
When you say you are going to try flipping the switch around, do you think someone plumbed it backwards and you are going to switch the air lines? Is the winch actually enabled when you flip the switch the way it is connected now? I can't get to my A3 right now, but when I can I'll look and...
The new Oregon bars were so inexpensive I decided to go that route. If I can't find a new bar for a reasonable price, I will try to de-rust my current bar as you suggest.
Has anyone tried to replace the chainsaw bar on the Stanley chainsaw? My SEE came with a Stanley chainsaw model CS06120M that has an Oregon bar model 160ATSA195, with the additional markings of 30959 GA. Although my chainsaw looks brand new, the bar was laying in water and is very rusty. I...
There is one lever that is pulled up and out to engage the hydraulic bypass. Another toggle switch moves the winch drum in or out. The hydraulic winch on the A3 is identical with the A2 winch except it is driven by hydraulics while on the A2 the winch is driven by the PTO. I have had both A2...
I know you've solved your issue with the switch. However, I wanted to share some advice when checking for poor grounds. If I suspect a poor ground, I take a jumper cable directly from the negative pole of the batteries and run it first to the engine and then to the chassis. This eliminates a...
If it was my truck, I'd have CSM Davis repair it and drive it home. You will need to repair it anyway even if you have it transported for you. Probably save a lot of money.
I would recommend that once you sort out the problem that you run the generator at least once per month. I test run mine religiously once per month with the whole house on the load. I run it a minimum of 30 minutes during test runs. We also have numerous power outages which exercise the...
It is not a modification or an add-on. All M35A3s have that four-way connector installed by AM General. It just distributes pneumatic pressure. Also, DOT-approved push-on connectors were used on A3s. It is very easy to see where the air lines go, just follow them.
Well, I fnally got around to replacing the seat on my SEE. From the top, the old seat looked good. From the bottom, the seat was rusted out and virtually no insides left due to mice. I searched, but there was no Case exact replacement seat. None of the other seats I checked out had the same...
The only way that is possible is if the speedometer cable is being spun in the wrong direction. I suspect someone has swapped out the cable drive adapter with an incorrect one. As Gringeltaube suggested, take a photo of the drive adapter and post. Has someone changed out the transmission? I...
Welcome to the site. You definitely have some beautiful scenery where you live, and very nice people. Your license plates don't lie. Before retirement, I spent a lot of time in BC. I was actually in a plane crash at Powell River several years ago when the plane's landing gear refused to come...
I finally got around to working on the throttle linkage. It was a mess. I bought a new rod from EI along with all new springs. Taking out the old bent rod was very difficult. I didn't want to take the ball joint apart, so I held the female section with vice grips, and backed the locking nut...
