yes there is a mix of good to soso trucks most are fixable but some will cost more than others some good ones were sent to huntsville but there are still some here but the 936s that are here are the ones that were left after the rebuild contract was fulfilled same for the thousand or so 931 a932...
that might explain some of the reinforced cabs that I have seen that didn't have ring mounts or appear to ever had one, but it looked just like the gun truck cabs that I looked at. I have often wondered why they didn't make all the cabs reinforced from the beginning.
From what I can tell that box is for use with the uparmored cab but I have seen some on the 931a1 & a2's some as battery boxes and some as BII boxes. I am going to use a standard 939 BII box on my 816 and move my batteries inside between the seats. My assistants don't like to climb in the trucks...
The air ride m931a2 that I have pictures of have shocks on the rear mounted on top of the axel tilted to the rear and mounted to the outside of the frame.
All I have seen have an hour meter on the inside and have seen about fifty so far, also the trucks that have the tachograph seem to read true miles and hours for that truck I think because it maybe harder to get a replacement for.
So far there has been only one truck left behind that I have seen not sure why but the largest part of these trucks have gone to scrappers, makes me sad, but you can forget your conspiracy theory it's not happening I know because I get to talk to most of the different buyers.
