I know they had a recall on the early pushbutton switches somebody may know more about this. Also I have noticed that most of the trucks I see with them on base have led lights which would be a lot less amperage draw on the switches. also noticed that they will kill the batteries on trucks that...
The gearing difference is in the transfercase it is a overdrive case in high that is on the 936, as to ride on road 936 is roomier and will run faster, but as to pulling power no way will a 936 keep up with a 816 hook back to back and the auto transmission will just slip and the hydraulic...
Okay I have been lusting over m-936 trucks for awhile, then got to use and work on some and I am not impressed with the winches front and rear at all compared to my M-816. Some of you will say I overload my pto winches but I quit that some time ago (exploding winches are not fun) but I do expect...
Read the post that you linked only the nonstandard M-809 series rims are Different like the bridge trucks and the m-819. I have M-939 rims on my M-816.

Dear CJ do not let a few idiots get you down. As to the trailer question I have put thousands of miles on a 1009 with a 101a2 loaded behind it without any damage to the truck, it is not pulling on the bumper but on a set of mounts that are better made than any bumper mounts I have ever seen on...
All the trucks I have seen with them have had artic heaters but no heaters on gondola have some pictures of one on a 936 but for some reason can't post them
Yes I have one that that a buddy bought then I got the truck with it does good job of keeping the pad looking new. Different buddy fixed cracks in his and bedliner sprayed it looks great.
