Much easier and a lot cheaper to sell your A3 and buy another with a winch if you want a correct winch. I have an A3 with winch and it is fantastic. Much easier to use than an A2 with a winch.

That is correct, but the premature tire wear is wear in the center of the tire. Higher pressure to a reasonable level increases economy and tire life. Just don't go too high.

The CTIS worked great on my A3 when I first recovered it from Fort McCoy years ago although the tires would lose pressure over a few weeks. It has worked great ever since although I did replace the air dryer and the valve stem grommets. You do not want to use hardware nuts on the valve stems...

If your brake lights come on when shorting across the switch terminals, but not when pedal is pushed, you have a switch problem.

What steering wheel is on the A3 you are working on? A3s have a smaller diameter steering wheel than the A2, which would make it even more difficult to steer than an A2 with manual steering. You are going to have to spend some money to replace your missing parts.

I would never use a 50+ year old tube in a tire! Especially in a front wheel. New tubes don't cost that much.

It's too bad some people have to behave like that. :sad:
