What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Parade duty. Went well, the kids loved it.

    Survival 109 build

Yes definitely. We were wearing shoes just because of those steps. The kids would just stand at the top or bottom and wait for me to pick them up.

    Survival 109 build

Looks great! My steps are just like that. I covered them with carpet. I used door entrance mats. Cut to size and put tarp eyelets in the corners. Used zip ties on all but the bottom step. I used springs to hold it on so I can remove it easy, just for those muddy spots.

The permanent porch adds some nice storage for firewood or other stuff you don't want to put inside. Although I would like to make a folding porch for my trailer.

NHC250 EGT pyrometer and gauge install finished

Max psi is under load. You'll be able to see the rpm the pump is set to defuel at also.

Nice setup. I use Hewitt on mine too. They make nice stuff. I'm not sure if they still do but they use to make gauges for Caterpillar. You should put a gauge on the pt pump pressure. Anything over 225 to 250 psi wears the cam. Time to turbo that motor!

Looks good. The first cut is the hardest!

I have 1 bigger window to install opposite the one already installed. That will be over the table. I also want to put 2 in the front bedroom area. Been getting them at our favorite online auction site.

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Thanks for the follow-up. Cranked faster and that was even after welding on your tools! That had to have drawn some amps!

PA - Spring 2016 Rausch Creek Steel Soldiers Rally

Arrive at 75°, leave at 25° We had a good time. My kids loved seeing all the trucks. Next time I'll have my Jeep and 818 ready for some trails. Nice to meet new people and put faces to names.

Camping and being cold should not be in the same sentence! Your doing it wrong! I camped at Rausch Creek for a few days in the blizzard of 2010. Slept in the back of my m35. 10° overnight.

PA - Spring 2016 Rausch Creek Steel Soldiers Rally

It doesn't look like any events are going on at the park this weekend. Shouldn't be crowded. If a M1008/1009 is a fullsize, then what is a 5 ton? Lol

Thanks Scott. It's all starting to come together now. Getting ready for the rally this weekend.

I was close. 59" wide rear door opening. 75" tall. I left the rear floor area open so I can put a 4 wheeler in. These trailers are also set up to pull as doubles. I thought of hooking the M1061 up behind it. Carry ATV and have a rear porch while camping!
