Well I tried the rest..now have the....."best" olive drab..toned down and very slighlty brown cast. looks brutal..and at night at rallies ..folk..walk into them!!tho the M62 in orriginal semi dark U.S. green drab looks well impressive..so I aint changing that! u can c the truck colors in deks...
Interesting reading these posts.....I have a source of old transformer oil..but dont use it..in any of my multifuels..as (logic???) decrees that P.C.Bs and tranformers PROBABLY!? are NOT filled with flammable oil!!. So..I ponder why should it BURN (anything!) like..diesel which..IS?......(and...
I took truck out to check turbo ::on applying full lock.CRACK BUMP WOBBLE! my son shouts the (blooming!? or something similar!) AXLE jumped over 3 or 4inches?? so I get him to drive it the OTHER LOCK..and sure eniff CRACK BUMP over go the forward two wheels untill they stick out of line 4"...

as sed in my description the (well made and top quality) pipe runs to the back of the rear sump...this mod was carried out by M.O.D. (ministry of defence) army depot molesworth. (vehicle disposal site!) as this truck was seconded to the britt/army before dispoal!

Just read all these comments..as I HAVE THREE spare turbos..2(two) HAVE clamps AND thinner "snails" AND DONT MAKE A SOUND!!! quiet as u like! THE one remailning one LOOKS EXACTLY THE SAME "small sails" CLAMP...whistles AND shreiks like a beuty! MY 5 ton has BIG SNAILS (and) BOLTS again..NO...
I ALLREADY got'n MINE lol...and am WELL pleased with it! had I known how complex they are (I like complicated) machines ..not just a steering wheel 'n pedals lol) tho tahts usefull too! I would have obtained one years ago!..NOW to go look for some ORIGINAL kit and the like...bars chains...
My 5ton blew an oil seal..got to a show pulling my M35a2.! (had to) so pulled the 5ton m54a2 back home with My m35a2 (air lines connected and light jumper leads) pulled like a train! no difference power wise 35/40 up hill down dale!..jusat carefull on corners as deuce is on singles and would...
Any information Anywhere about whistling turbo repai or replacement? We recently purchased two (suposed )whistling turbos specifically asking for units of that type. BOTH new turbos where NON whistlers.. despite the company perpoting them so to be! and they where expensive. Is there and DEFINING...
well according to the papers with it ..'twas stationed at molesworth prior to "discharge" and the u.s. government wrote it off as over limitt for repair etc! but it was taken BY THE MOD and re-furbished by english millitary peronell and sold from the BRITTISH disposal company. NOT d.o.d...

Well I wanted a "screemin" turbo on my m45 fire truck which was non turbo..so my nephew swiped a turbo off a spare engine we have....fitted it without probs!!(he IS ONLY 16!!) starts and runs great! performance? not much difference..cleaner exhaust? not really..dissapointed tho..(but only) coz...

some "heat" IF it doesnt move after 4/6 INTENSE! couts with a 3 or 4 Lb hammer.!..soak with penetrating oil ,use a good fit puch to drive it all the way out. helps to "knock it" BOTH ways a bit at a time if its badly sticking. keeping the CLOUT as "SQUARE" to the pin as poss...
