    See through Multifuel

Yep, Detroits were known for that. Runaways can suck the oil out of the pan until they go Blooey. A lot of older fire trucks had emergency levers to seal the intake if it ran away.

    NO START without ETHER !!!???

Untill you solve your problem, you might want to try spraying WD40 in the intake instead of ether, it should be a little easier on the engine.

Installed my double gun mount kit

Believe it or not, the new MRAP's don't have any gun mounts in them. The millitary constantly harped on not have ANYTHING that's not secured in them because of rollover's, but yet none had any where to stow a weapon. We had one guy who almost lost his arm when the door popped open going down...

started to replace seals on the deuce

And to be specific, they need to be under the axles themselves as close to the sides as possible. If yours won't reach up that high, you can use wood cribbing under the jacks, it should be free of splits, big knots, cracks, etc.

    The $820 M109A3 Resurrection

Seems like that would make it brittle and not last as long? How long did you have the previous painted ones? It does look good though.

    BlizzardX23's Complete M35A2 Restore

Seems to me that if you want it for a grip truck, you'd want the shop truck version so you could better secure your gear and keep it dry. Just a thought. Or you could do what we did with our shop deuce. We didn't have a shop truck so we got a set of the high ribs, lined the underside of the...

started to replace seals on the deuce

Well judging by the photos, there's no way those bearing aren't bad or soon will be. With that amount of rust and dirt serious degradation is aready started. Pulling those duals is just too much of a PITA not to do it for me. I'd rather be cruising down the road with one less worry. 2cents8)

Well Crap, those pins are stuck!

I'm gonna cut 'em off, I've already tried spraying them. They really aren't binding enough to keep them from coming out. I haven't been able to even get them to budge, so when I cut them I can put the tailgate on the ground and use a 12 pounder on them directly. I'll just get some new round...

Well Crap, those pins are stuck!

I may end up doing that, but I've got some time so I thought I'd try the cheapass route first. I would've liked to got one in Dayton at the show, but It wouldn't have fit in my Jeep anyway.

    Vietnam Era Guntruck!

NOOO! Sell that 109 box and buy a bed! You should have some extra money out of the deal to buy some steel. Making that box out of the 109 would be akin to building a Pinto from a Mercedes. Not nearly as many 109's as there are regular beds, and there have been several I've seen for as low...

2011 Dayton MVPA Convention Swap, Bringing

    Okay, so maybe not.

Well Crap, those pins are stuck!

Well I tried getting the hinge pins out of the tailgate, tried several methods. I just snapped the bolt on piece of my farm jack trying to loosen them. Screw it, the sawsall is next. The project is to try and straighten out the damage to the tailgate and bed. I used an 8 ton bottle jack...

2011 Dayton MVPA Convention Swap, Bringing

I had a pretty good time, and didn't spend too much money. I got to meet Doc, Crusher, and a couple others who I forget their names. (I can't remember names for crap.) I saw a bunch of great vehicles, but I was surprised not to see any Humvees. I was there for about 5 hours, but next year...

started to replace seals on the deuce

If one bearing is bad, you should replace both as a set. It would be just a matter of time before the other one went bad. I learned a good saying years ago. "If you don't have time to do it right the first time, when are you going to have time to do it right the second time?". You don't want...

So easy a girl can do it....driver training results.

Well, not to be the party pooper, but riding on the running board with a new driver might not be the best idea. Accidents can happen, and I don't think you'd want your daughters to experience something happening to you while they were driving. Just my 2 cents. But anyway, maybe I'll use this...

At the end of a long trip, the truck breaks down as I pull into the driveway.... Wow

My Dodge 2500 with a Cummins blew the water pump coming into the drive one day, and another I blew a brake line going out. If ya gotta break down, there's no place like home!

    Vietnam Era Guntruck!

First thought is your're gonna need money. Lots of it. They had replica M2's at the Dayton show and they're around 1500K. The gun truck in the Arena had a Quad .50, 2-M2's, M-60's and a small minigun. Not to mention a real nice paint job and a lot of steel. But if you got the money, the...
