Just as everyone stated above. I'd be more concerned with the lack of parts and how expensive replacement parts would be if you do find them. Also, just my personal thing. If you like the looks of igor then A3 all the way:???:
The land power plug is located on the front of the box, passenger side about 3/4 the way up the box. Most are a 2 prong plug that is nearly impossible to find mating plug for. The 24v power goes from the battery to the little black circuit breaker plug that is bolted to your van box. It is just...
I'm wondering what your switch setting is on the AM-1780. The one off on the far right corner that you adjust with a screwdriver. Is it on INT ONLY, OTHER, RETRANS?
Ah, the only thing electically hooked to the box from the truck (at least with mine) is a measely little 14 or 12 gauge wire. This wire is hooked directly to the battery to provide the 24v to the box. Everything else is via land power on the huge power receptacle on the front of the box.
Hate to do the "did you do a search" thing but there are at least 3-6 awesome write-ups on the 109 camper thing. I am doing the same project with my m109A3, the link is in just below. The first and foremost thing I would start with is making sure everything under the hood is good to go and make...
Completed the Air-O-Matic install today. It was a challenge drilling though the frame to accodate for the air regulator fittings for a few reasons. Just didn't seem right to put a nice 3/4 hole in the frame. Plus my cordless drill was having some troubles grabbing all that metal. After an hour I...
You DO NOT have to remove the fan. Loosen the alternator and push it up towards the engine to loosen the alternator belts (2). The air compressor pulley is a two part pulley. You will see there are two bolts on the pulley on the forward most part of the pulley. You will need to loosen or remove...
I just saw this pic of a GL deuce. Hmm, is that a block heater on the thermostat housing? Is this a possible location for a block heater? Would this cause premature opening of the thermostat?
I am trying to figure out where I am going to put my block heater. I just got the brand new Kats 11619 off e-bay for $12 shipped.[thumbzup] Now, I haven't tried it but the heater element looks to be a bit long to fit here (see white arrow in pic). Has anyone placed this heater here? I don't want...
Hmm, I get a slight burning in the back of my throat when I'm working on her during idle from inhaling that good ole soot. I haven't gotten this from driving her. Have you checked your exhaust joints and manifold for leaks? Plus the lower portion of the J pipe is notorious for rusting...I'd...
Today was one soggy, rainy, windy, nasty, and cold day. All these description brought up several excuses of why I shouldn't work on G&C. However, one thought came to mind....Air-O-Matic. I've had this AOM kit from the days brianrbull liquidated all those kits last year. I bought this kit for the...
I just got a 3' stick of 2" NAPA radiator hose and a 50' spool of 5/8" Goodyear heater hose to do my 3 trucks. I'll cut the hoses to length. I did, however, went with NOS 2002 USGI lower radiator hose as the "Newer" New Star stuff is plagued with complaints on rubber qualitiy. With the location...
OK, been tackling the coolant issue for about a week and a half. I replaced all the 2" coolant hoses and the 5/8" heater hoses over the past week or so. As stated in a previous thread, I thought I had some overheating issues. Turns out the water temp gauge wasn't grounded to the gauge panel:x...
Keep getting mixed answers on this one. Want to see what the consensus is.
What lubricant do you use in your airpacks?? I know I know, I don't like polls either but this get the point across without reading through all the posts
