Pic request, front seats, CUCV II Tahoe

Yeah, I got confirmation a couple weeks ago. Just seem to be impossible to acquire aftermarket/repro/OEM.

What have you done to your JEEP today

Foot starter... Electrical works, lights turn on... just no kick. so... going to put her up and see if I can get underneath to see if it's a simple wire out of place or if I need a new starter. I do recall (and I have "starter" in bold and top of my old "to-do" list for the Jeep) that the...

    HMMWV History

Welcome. not anymore, the system we used is gone and the new system is very different and limited. Best bet now is research like older ones have, light very attentive sanding to see if bumper numbers can be recovered.

Pic request, front seats, CUCV II Tahoe

Gang, Need an assist. I'm working on replacing my replacement driver's HMMWV seat with the correct seats... but I'm starting to think the passenger seat I have isn't correct either. I'm running a 1999 Tahoe CUCVII. So, help a brother out. Can you guys post picture(s) of your front seats?

    green flag GP

Honestly, it's probably that yard's internal tracking mechanism. Nothing official. Probably them marking it as "Bob has looked at this" "ready for photos" or something. You can see on a lot of trucks stateside that they'll have DRMO in spray paint on them, or other markings. It's just a way...

    Fire extinguisher?

If you're actually planning on putting out a fire, go with a 20lbs. At least that's what I carry in my daily driver. Those little 5lbs-ers aren't going to do very much.

    Gov Planet Hawaii.

Yeah, no. These are all Gov Planet's responsibilities. You need to read the fine print, retain a lawyer and contact GP.

    Us military Kawasaki lx250t ?

It's perfectly possible that they got the wrong model number. People are human. Dirt bikes are constant COTS purchases. I have a Honda one that probably came from NAVSPECWARCOM, although the paperwork just says something about Navy systems command or something. If it's painted up and it's...

    2020 NC Rally-Denton Farm Park

Sorry guys, my command's guidance now limits me to 50 miles of Bragg, and although Denton is close, it's not that close. I hope we can postpone till fall or next year.

    R.I.P.--Dan Dague-Midwest Military

Dang, I've talked to him a number of times in the past and always meant to swing by MM when I was home. Very sad to hear.

South Korean M35's doing the job.

Korea, and vice Kia and Daewoo, do a lot of manufacturing for their military, and it's amazing how sometimes it'll look ancient, and right next to it is a modern SUV with a camo job. I guess I don't have access to my old folders... but if you find my old posts in the MV Spotted, you can see some.

    Need Help With Unit Markings

your A Troop and vehicle number are probably going to be separate on the (as you face the vehicle) right bumper/bumperette. as you're looking for older numbering than I'm used to, I'd say something along the lines of 2D CAV - 42 REC SQD or 42d RECON. During WWII they also used graphics as...
