They do a great job. However, I know a guy that soda blasts exotic cars for repainting and he told me that there is one drawback to painting a soda blasted vehicle. He said the metal is so slick that paint sometimes has a hard time adhering to the metal. He also said a common problem was...
The original part number for the fuel filter assembly listed in T.O. 35C2-3-499-1 is 2436210110. The new part number is 2436210120. Please note that although the two filter assemblies look virtually identical, you will need to carve a very small amount of plastic from the new filter to mount...
I agree that the 34787 has a longer extended length of 23.25 inches vs. 21.75 inches for the 66905. Also, the 34787 has a longer compressed length of 14.25 inches vs 12.75 inches for the 66905. However, the upper and lower mounting studs on the 34787 are 1/2 inch, the same as the military...
I'm using Monroe 34787 shocks on my A2. They fit perfectly and look identical with what I removed. I called Monroe Technical Support and they gave me the 34787 number when I told them it was for an M35A2. The Monroe guy seemed to be very familiar with MV applications. I also have an A3 and...
I once orderedone five-gallon pail of GL-1 at the NAPA on Buford Hwy in Duluth, GA. I showed up the next day and the guy at the cash register told me they would put it in my truck for me while I paid. I was half asleep until I saw that they were loading the last of 20 5-gallon pails in my...
In low range, the truck will be moving very slowing in reverse at idle. There should be no reason to drag the brakes. If the truck is moving too quickly in reverse and low range, perhaps the idle is set too high or the hand throttle is pulled out some. When parking my deuce, I always run it...
It most likely means your low pressure switch needs to be replaced. It could also mean that your gauge is reading incorrectly. Does the gauge read correctly at high pressure? If so, the problem is the low pressure switch.
Never start out in 2nd gear unless you are in low range. When driving a deuce in the Army, this was a serious offence as we were told it is easy to damage the transmission if starting out in 2nd. Also, never slip the clutch - just let the clutch out. Follow everyone's good suggestions...
Looks good! What are you doing about the top on the back of the cab where the posts are? My top is all wrinkled up since there is no clearance between the posts and the top cap on the cab. My ring was a lot harder to put on due to holes not lining up exactly on the ring, post arms and the...
I use the NAPA brand Premium Performance Automatic Transmission Fluid, P/N NP75203 for the 5-gallon pails. It is made by Ashland Oil (Valvoline) and is a replacement for Dexron III.
I know more guys with M35s insured with State Farm than any other company. I have an A2 and an A3 insurec with State Farm. They will insure it as a commercial vehicle restricted to private use. Premiums are reasonable.
