Here's the standard LDS-465-1A dataplate that I have seen on the LDS'. Not sure if there are other formats out there but this is the only one I've seen. Did any of the 5 ton MF come with the LDT engine?
LDS-465-1A was the standard multifuel found on the 5 tons of the day
Looking at the pics on the dataplate, wondering if it's an LDT-465-1x b/c of the 134 HP rating
The contract # for the engine indicates 1987. So one would assume it is a 1987 and later engine
Can you make out the dataplate on...
Thanks Aaron! I can't wait. Also, I thought it would be a good idea to bring up something we talked about yesterday. Aaron and I were talking about comms during the convoy last year and yesterday. The most economical and least cumbersome way to go is the use of the FRS/GRMS type radios for the...
I presently have 3 deuces (Continental LDT-465-1D w/5k miles, Hercules LDT-465-1D w/14k miles, and a Hercules LDT-465-1C w/7k miles). They all have the 0-60 PSI gauge. All 3 engines pressure out to 30 PSI at idle and run 33-35 PSI at warmed up highway speeds.
Hi Dale, sorry you were unable to make it. Sounds like you had much more important issues to attend to. Thanks for your service Dale! Definately looking forward to July. I hope you and the family are able to make it then.
Definately something I need to do to '88 M35A2C. Those sudden panic moments as I try to catch my balance are getting old...like myself. Those fenders can get like pig snot especially on the shaded side of the truck
Yeehaw, just got home! Literally my son and I just pulled up and here I am. Thanks Dan and Scott for this Rally. Thanks for the convoy Aaron/Hammer/Josh!!
Alright, I'll be ready when I get my safety checklist completed. I suppose I can chalk off WASH TRUCK, been raining for a couple hours now. Aaron, about what time do you think you'll hit exit 88? I think I'll convoy with you guys up there if I get there in time. Don't wait up for me:-) No Brad's...
Scratch my '68. I'll be bringing my '88. Just got the VIC-1 installed and my RT-246 radio installed. Would be a good time to see if the VIC-1 is worth having.
Hey Medic5050, not sure if an issue for you and your wife but the passenger side only has one seatbelt. Unless Josh has done a mod to incorporate another set. Just something to think about. I know I wouldn't let my wife in any vehicle without a seatbelt.
Looks like I'll need to make sure my...
Hey Aaron, I'll probably be headed on the same stretch of road. Seems they're doing some I-5 N road work in the Hawks Prairie area. My plans are to hit the road that passes through Oakville/Rochester area on up through Tenino. Not sure if I'm stopping off at Brad's or not. If I do stop I'll...
Ed, you guys made off pretty good at Brad's:-) I'm sure there may be more HMMWV parts to be had for your wife. If I go, which at this point looks like a green light, I would like to convoy again. We can meet at Home Depot again or just up the road just off the I-5 exit in Hawks Prairie. Walmart...
