Maybe a good time to hook up a pressure gauge to the fuel line to see what the intank pump is getting your pressures upto. Typically a deuce MF will run with an inop intank pump, just as long as you don't need to bleed the fuel lines. The IP has enough suction to draw fuel to keep the truck...
From what I've been told the LDS and LDT IP are NOT interchangeable. In fact the injectors are suppose to be different as well b/w the LDS and LDT. One has one hole and another has two holes. Sorry can't tell you which is which. Wondering if your truck wasn't a civilian fire truck. Not sure if...
From the battery I use an older GRC-106 type power cable to my MX-7777B suppressor. From my MX-7777B (has two power outs) I use the CX-13089 power cables. One cable to my AM-1780 VIC-1 Intercom control panel and another cable to my MT-1029 (RT-524 and RT-246 radio mount).
My radio is connected...
Hmm, I know they make an IP specific to an LDS engine due to the fuel delivery differences. Don't know why they would mismatch the IP/engine. Wondering if you have the incorrect dataplate on your engine. What side of the engine is your starter? An LDT typically has the starter on the port side...
Exactly what Eric said. In fact my '86 M35A2C has a 1C engine but a non-whistler turbo. So the 1C or 1D engine designation does not appear to impact the type of turbo you may have. I have seen plenty of 1D engines with whistlers at GL
Whistler sounds great during idle and revs. Not sure if I would want one at highway speeds;) Out of the 5 deuces I have owned, I have not come across a whistler as of yet.
Hey Mike, can you get a pick of the dataplate attached to the injector pump? I'm really curious about this now. Typically if it is an LDS IP it will state so on the dataplate.
Hmm, I've never seen a LDT in a 5 ton before. I guess there's a first for everything. Most MF 5 ton engines are the LDS-465-1A. Did the previous owner swap out the motor for the desirable LDS?
Are the legs at each end shorter than the other ones? If so, then you have the deuce dump truck troop seats
. Had the same ones in the back of my '67 M35A2 when I picked up my truck.
Outstanding! So far, we're sitting at 19 confirmed MV for this years Parade/Convoy and 7 possibles. At this point we have a potential of 26 MV!!!!! Wow this is going to be incredible nothing like a mile long MV convoy:razz:
I've done this task once. I tighened my ring little by little to the point where I was actually feeding the boot under the clamp. This positive pressure on the clamp helped to keep the boot from scooting out. At about midpoint I ended up having to loosen the clamp to free up a little space so I...
Thanks for your outstanding hospitality once again Dan!! It was great meeting your wife. You two definately made us all feel right at home. BBQ?, you bet we're ready for a BBQ.
