it's more like, the guy who sold them didn't look. I didn't look when I dropped them off... oh well. Tires are successfully on, the spare works, and I'll be putting the old ones off the M880 on the pioneer. all works out in the end!
There's a metric ton of gun trucks sitting in one of DLA's lots here at Bragg (visible from the road, if you know which one to drive on). I've heard everything from 'they aren't the right model' to 'need demil' to 'becoming range targets' to 'maybe they'll be sold'. I'm hoping as well that...
Well, good news/bad news. Got the truck to a highly recommended tire shop today... one of the rims that I bought is a 16.5"... not happy... had to pull one off the Pioneer Tool Trailer, that's thankfully 16". going to put the old M880 tires on the Pioneer for now.
hopefully she'll be rolling...
pretty much only 37" Goodyear Wrangler MT/Rs. the HMMWV rims are 16.5"... trying to find tires in those sizes... is a pain. I converted my M880 to 16" since the only things I could find that weren't HMMWV tires were some Firestone Transforce that didn't look like you could get traction out of...
Can't believe I missed this... here's my input in no semblance of order:
1. If you have dual whips and a full soft top kit, and you do NOT have the stand off brackets, yes they will rub. However, SOP in the Army was to run your 'antenna retaining clips/rope' from the base of the opposing...
If you're doing a connex, you're either going to need a CHU or a flackrack to put it on... I don't see either in the picture (doubtful that it will come with a rack, CHU... maybe).
Yes, it's standard. It's so that when they get loaded up, as they 'should' they will move to a "normal" camber. If you drive around a military base, you'll notice it behind any unloaded unarmored HMMWV.
I didn't realized it was adjustable when you posted in the Auction Wins... I was thinking "that's a pretty specific need to buy that for..." now it makes more sense.

http://www.etrailer.com/Locks/Blaylock-Industries/BLTL-60.html - $29.95 from etrailer. (I think this is the one I have - I also ordered 4x matching locks to secure the lunette, each side and the back door)
