    On the road...

That must have been exciting Andy, finding everything in such a good condition! Congrats! .....any internal/external lock washers in the drawers? :-)

    My artistic side

Looks good. For a continous non-slip surface, here is the PS mag way.

    FDC openings

FT, simply use pipe plugs, I did. The reason for the loops of tubing is to use existing parts. Use an 1/8 NPT pipe plug for the return flow port (side) and a 1/4 NPT plug on the input (front).

    Allison Trans fluid type????

This is what I will be putting into my Allison, Premium Tractor Hydraulic Fluid. It has an equivalent (engine oil ) viscosity of 10W...among other things. http://steelsoldiers.com/index.php?name=PNphpBB2&file=viewtopic&t=12507&start=20

    New Jersey to Nevada

Well Mike made it to NV and on his return trip he stopped by my place. Here he is with that impressive M1009 (the tire in the roof rack is for the 8x8, which he brought from OK). He is leaving this morning for NJ.

    Engine Prelube Info....

RE: Re: RE: pump Even if the pressure doesn't build up, you have achieved a lot by filling the oil canisters and oil cooler, that's essentially all I'm able to do with my hand pump (posted in a different thread)...

    My M35 prelube install

The whole idea with pre-lubing the multi is to fill the filter canisters and oil cooler, a total of about a gallon of oil. If you bypass, there may be a drop in pressure as usual at start-up. The threads are 3/8 NPT and you should be able to "bring the port out" by using a 3 to 4 inch nipple. I...

    My M35 prelube install

Hmmm...Patrick are you bypassing the filters purposely or am I misreading your picture?

need info of M900 spare tire mount

Have this, perhaps it can be adapted to fit. I haven't compared NSN numbers. It is stripped of tenna hose and tool box. If they match, I can take measurements as/if needed.

    Throttle pedal response question

FWIW, here is an image with actual numbers. 1100-20 NDCC tires and proper speedo adapter.

    Happy with Aervoe 997B 24084

RE: Re: RE: Happy with Aervoe 997B 24084 I know, my "Earth Yellow" faded very quickly where I tested it on the deuce. So far, after six months, if I spray a spot from a fresh can on the aged paint (been exposed to the sun daily), there is no difference. In any case, it's the color match...

    Help, lost Brakes today.

I have used DOT 3 for ten years without a problem. Mix them in a jar and study the effect, shouldn't be a problem, though.

    Throttle pedal response question

Since you are on line David, do you know of an official procedure for bypassing the FDC and the necessary re-adjustment of the fuel delivery? According to the TMs, few if any of the IP adjustments are to be done "in the field", so why would the droop screw be suspect?

    Happy with Aervoe 997B 24084

RE: Re: RE: Happy with Aervoe 997B 24084 The 997B is a "new" color according to Aervoe, perhaps (hopefully) the fading problem was solved....

    Happy with Aervoe 997B 24084

Re: RE: Happy with Aervoe 997B 24084 Rarily to bare metal. I prep by cleaning, wire brushing, pealing flaking paint with a carpenter's chisel, degreasing, washing with soap and water. To get an even top coat, I prime everything with Rustoleum "Rusty Metal primer". It's all done a small section...

Dennis, Shelby, and improvised fording engineering

Agreed....the reason for the filter is to be able to leave it in permanently, a hose will collect oil after a period of time. When everything is up and running on my deuce, it can be fording ready to 5 ft within 1 minute. Compare XM757: Crankcase fumes dumped into the exhaust.

    Happy with Aervoe 997B 24084

I have now been using this paint for more than six momths and the parts painted in early Spring are still rich in color and matches original parts. The paint is also very hard and I hope it stays this way. I have taken pictures under various conditions to attempt to get a good color...
