Congratulations! When you flush the fuel system, don't forget to clean the strainers in all three fuel pumps. It only takes a few minutes. Ditto on the Fram fuel filters. I found mine on Amazon for a good price and arrived in 3 days.
Congratulations! When do you pick up your A3? Progressive and State Farm are two of the insurance companies that don't hassle you about insuring a Deuce, and their prices are reasonable.
You can actually break a piston if that much raw fuel enters the intake because when an intake valve opens, fuel can fill the cylinder and when the piston comes up on compression, the liquid is not compressible.
I used a manual 400-amp 4-pole transfer switch I found on e-bay with my MEP-003A hooked to whole-house 400-amp service. You could always buy a manual transfer switch and sell the automatic switch. My installation passed both the county electric inspector and the EMC inspector as well. Make...
I know the coke has a lot of phosphoric acid in it, but what is the asparagus supposed to do? They have now decided to blast the stone, maybe next Thursday.
It runs again! I'm not sure how air got in the lines from the IP to the injectors since I didn't have that apart , but bleeding the lines from the IP to the injectors did the trick. New fuel filters, cleaned fuel screen and cleaned all three fuel pumps filters as well as cleaned fuel tank and...
When I put mine in I used the kit from Saturn. It had template drawings that made it very easy to locate the holes. They work great. I mount an M1A and an AR15A2 in it for parades, etc.
Try Delk's Army Navy Surplus. They have a lot of parts for military gensets and usually they are fairly priced. I've also found them to be very fast. Good luck!

This sounds like a bad ball bearing inside the steering box to me. If you disconnect the load during your investigation, the bump may go away, making you think it is not coming from the box. I would recommend having someone turn the wheel while you place your hand on the steering box and see...
You should be able to tell if the end is bad by looking at it. You can get a new cable for a reasonabe price. I would go ahead and replace the entire cable. I just replaced mine a few months ago with a new one from Saturn.
Well, I removed the fuel tank on my MEP-003A and thoroughly cleaned it, as well as all fuel lines. I also cleaned the fuel strainer and replaced both fuel filters. After re-assembly, I cannot get the engine to run. It initially started and ran for about 3 seconds and died, obviously due to air...
I bought a complete transmission gasket set for the 3053a transmission from Saturn Surplus, but it didn't include the seal you need. They might sell it separately.
Welcome to Steel Soldiers. You will find a wealth of information and support here. You can also find a lot of information by using the search function on posts. You live in a nice country - I've had the pleasure of spending a lot of time in Norway in the past.
I would recommend fixing the leak and keeping the flame heater. Living in Michigan, this can be a big help for you. There is no reason the other lines should start leaking. I drove a Deuce in the Army in the early 70s that had a flame heater and it worked great. My current Deuce has an ether...
I lost 5th gear in my Deuce a while back. It started making a rattling sound when accelerating or especially under deceleration where the noise was louder. No load conditions resulted in no noise. Mine started shelling teeth on 5th gear, but I was able to limp home. I swapped out the...
I would recommend contacting both Line-X and Sherwin Williams and ask to speak with their formulation chemist and ask them. I had a similar issue years ago when putting another type of epoxy coating on top of newly applied paint, and I contacted the Permite formulation chemist. He gave me...
