I used a hole punch and a hammer to get the darn thing out. I had to use a file to refit it back in there. I just ordered 3 sets of oil seals for the 3 winches. I ended up only spending around $50/set. Seems I might as well make a day out of rebuilding winches.
What black paint is that? It that the Rapco (Gillespie) paint as well? Did you rattle can it on? How much paint did you end up using (cans or gallons of each color)?
Makes sense either way. With it pointing downward the wind is being sloped up by the forward angle of the fender. Looks like a good home for a yellowjacket nest however:wink:
That NSN brings up:
HEATER KIT,ENGINE COOLANT
No fuel pump or any fuel related parts should be in that box.
TM 9-2320-361-20 will have everything for you
No worries on the black smoke, he may have turned the fuel up a bit. You're basically pushing too much fuel through your engine. So much so the fuel is not being combusted...thus black smoke. Well there are a number of fine Military Vehicle places to order parts and filters. Try TNJ Murray...
Welcome aboard!! You say it smokes when you get on it. Well my friend join the MV club. They all smoke when you get on them:wink: What color is the smoke? Black, white, grey? Have you changed out the fuel filters, air filters, and oil filters?
Yah you know those 109's are nothing but trouble. You ought to just ship it out to me so I can have trouble trying to figure out what to do with her:wink:
