Didn't try to move it, still have a couple of wheels off. I do want to fix the fuel situation first.

Replacing Filament Bulbs with LEDs... anyone done it yet?

Potting or a good conformal coating would make it more permanent and shake proof. Often you can mount circuitry as shown, since the individual components are waterproof and the case not sealed perfectly. Venting a case works well to keep moisture from buliding up. I would not try to seal the...

    Complete heater kit needed/wanted

This image shows the two heaters. The larger one is taken by Derby and the smaller is not for sale. The larger one has a BTU rating of 30,000, the smaller has no tag. :(

Replacing Filament Bulbs with LEDs... anyone done it yet?

This is what I did, the El Cheapo solution: The guts of the Track Master Inc stop/turn/tail light model 61 fit perfectly within the composite light of the deuce. The incandescent lights and sockets must be removed for space. Find the LED lights on ebay by using "stop turn tail tmi" for key...

Thanks for the support fellows! This list sure makes the world shrink. To answer some of the questions, it's an LDS-465-2, it sounded very "smooth", less noisy than the typical deuce engine, even with the "hood" open. I didn't run it long, since the fuel system is incomplete, at least I have the...

    Choice of Rides

The 911 sure is a tall truck! Compare to the desire for low profile when the M656 series of trucks were designed. The compartment behind the cab stores the windshield (image below).

Help I need the cup in the fuel filters

If you do use a washer, it should be a tight fit around the center post to be effective. If not, the filter is bypassed.

Anyone in Colorado that can help me out here? Axle boots $#%

RE: Anyone in Colorado that can help me out here? Axle boots Perhaps with pictures and a more detailed explanation of the problem many more of us can help. Some surgical procedures are simple. :-)

    5 Ton Ignition Wiring

Here is the schematic, if you want to give it a shot. It basically provides reverse polarity protection for the alternator.

    Complete heater kit needed/wanted

I have one. It was incorrectly installed in the xm757 8x8 (it needs the fuel heated version). I'll check it out tomorrow, but appears in excellent condition. How about $50.00 plus shipping? No ducts.

Engine fires and runs! It warmed up a bit 58°F at 13:50 hrs. Batteries charged again and mostly diesel in the fuel system, still no in-tank pump or equivalent. Cranked it a few times and put the foot down a little on the accelerator. The engine started and runs on its own for a couple of...

    leaking injection pump

I have Joel. The hydraulic head uses two large o-rings for sealing. When Jason and I worked on the pump we replaced these O-rings, they tend to get stiff in time. To replace, you have to remove the steel fuel lines, the fuel shut-off mechanism, the return and feed fuel lines. Could take a while...

Lots of white smoke and it actually tried to run for a moment or two. It's getting fuel now. :jumpin: The ambient is about 45°F and I'm using a biodiesel/veggie oil/diesel mix (from my deuce tank), things that don't help much either. aua After 10 minutes of off and on cranking, the...

    5-ton winch, what's it worth?

It's designed to be mounted like that, lots of oil. :-) From manual: Gear end: 6.75 qts Frame end: 3.75 qts Reduction gear box: 0.30 qts

    5-ton winch, what's it worth?

RE: 5-ton winch, what Let me clarify, 5-ton as in the winch used on 5-ton trucks, which has a rating of 20,000 lb. Sorry about being a bit fuzzy here.
