The tank I used (still use) for the dual tank project was rusty inside with the plating gone in many places, not to mention the pin holes repaired with fiberglass.
The specs of rust has caused a bunch of filter and valve problems over the last year with thousands of miles logged.
I now have...
According to David Doyle's "Standard Catalog of US MV's", if all else fails use 85% of the vehicle gross weight in tons. (page 501, top)
So if your deuce is empty, about 5 tons, loaded about 10 tons, a "5" or a "10" on the bridge plate. The "C" is only displayed if you are towing a trailer, in...
Patrick, good to see that you made it back all right!
Question regarding your front tires (Toyo M140 11.00r20), how many miles do you have on them and is there any noticable wear?

The XM757 were later replaced by German MAN 8x8 10-ton trucks.
Yeah Andy, the problem with using the exhaust is control. It gets hot fast.
When in Oklahoma, I extracted the exhaust diverter valve from the doomed M50A2 water tanker. It is seen to the left in the image below.
The M50 uses an exhaust diverter to keep the water from freezing.
Thought it might...
Check with Jones in Sacramento, CA, he had a stack of bed sides and some troop seats in his yard when I was visiting a couple of months ago. Gary Berg was looking for some also, so I don't know the current status.
Got a turbo for sale. It's a used one, Switzer model 3LJ-319. Don't know the condition of it other than the turbine spins with light finger pressure and the oiler drains easily when oil is poured from top.
A bit rough, but some TLC should be all that's needed.
