Or just remove the safety chain plate (that will gain you a 1/4”) then cut it in basically thirds and use the two outboard sections (chain loops) and outboard bolts to secure
the cut down safety chain loops.
Idle with the trans in drive and try going through the gears.
Did the filters in ours and filled a little over and had no problems
and and after a short drive fluid level was good.
One thing to consider is where that heat goes after exiting? Like is your rear axle going to be in that heat stream?
and I would not be concerned about noise because the vanes on the turbo normally???

“Sail right” sewing machines, bought one a few years ago and I have never used a sewing machine before.
