I did the test specified on the TM
on H instead of 8 VDC I got 10-11 VDC
on J instead of 67.5 to 90 VAC I got 1.5 VAC
on L instead of 108 to 132 VAc I got 11 to 12 VAC
I installed the new pump, it starts perfect.
Now I have a new problem, under voltage.
I replaced the fuse next to the voltage regulator just in case but it didn't solve the problem.
Any Ideas
Hello, I have a 1995 MEP006A with a John Deere engine. I need to rebuild the fuel injection pump. I have try everything I can think off to remove that pump, I even built a tool with a 2 ton hydraulic bottle jack, and applied at least two tons of pressure on it, and it doesn't move. Any ideas??
Hi, I have a 35KW GET with a John Deere engine and a marathon generator. The pump was shut, I rebuilt it and work fine now, but it's only putting 50 to 55 volts.
the problem is the starter solenoid, it was very corroded inside. the cooper filament was covered with a layer of old grease, prevent it from making contact.
Hopefully it will start tomorrow when I put it back together.
These units seat unused for a long time exposed to the elements I guess.
Hello
I purchased two 1995 MEP 806A with under 4 hours. One had an issued with a fuse and it was resolved pretty fast thanks to the knowledgeable people on this forum.
Now, the other one won't crank, it makes a one time clapping noise on the starter when press to run. I put new batteries on it...
Hello,
I recently purchased a 1995 MEP806A with three hours.
The unit starts and runs fine, but the low voltage light is on and it wouldn't let me close the power switch.
Any ideas of where should I start looking.
