    Transmission issue?

Yes, you are able to make adjustments just with a digital voltmeter or multimeter. You will be piercing the wires behind the connector. There are certain values for resistance, and also for voltages while you have a 16mm block installed IIRC. You can find the steps and values in the...

    Need transmission help

Have you tried other gears, such as L or others?

    Transmission issue?

. I've had similar symptoms when I first drove my M1123, 6.5L non-turbo with 4E80E transmission. Some additional steps AFTER you follow Mogman's steps, check the transmission wire harness plug at the transmission, mine had residual transmission fluid in it from an external leak. Disconnected...

    Civilian part numbers

Hey all, I thought to start a thread outlining information for parts for all HMMWVs, from the civilian market-side. It would most likely be super beneficial to the community if you would post a find for a GOOD and QUALITY part, maybe part # and cost of substitutes from civilian Companies...

    Tie rod end help

. For sure. The TM explains in detail how to position the clamps, including cautions to avoid damage to equipment. You are correct, good Sir.

What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

. I don't have hard doors, but I know the C Pillar is more curved at an angle than the A Pillar. Is that why you have such a gap? The hard doors look straigher than the soft top doors... Just MHO

    Tie rod end help

I believe the grease fittings are purposely installed on the side that allows for greasing, and also not in the way of the other components near them. So they will be on opposing sides if installed correctly. That should allow you to see right away, I think the will be facing to the rear of the...

    Tie rod end help

. Technically you were correct, then P. gave us his serial number... You are always so humble and hard on yourself. I would have never found the TM/UOC without your previous mentoring and training... :clinto:

    Tie rod end help

And I am sure you already have the Operators manual from this site: https://www.steelsoldiers.com/threads/newer-model-hmmwv-operators-manual-tm-9-2320-387-10.158279/

    Tie rod end help

. As usual, I believe you are correct. The TM 9-2320-387-24P C05 reads on page 0135 00-1 as Item 9. but with knowing the serial number of the truck, we have to pick the next item below that. Hey P, you may benefit if you had the TM for this truck. I found a free copy here...

What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

. Possibly true. Sorry if I led anyone to believe that they are "bulletpoof", that was not my intention as I don't have any documentation saying that. But I have seen 9 mm rounds go through a car windshield. The windshield that was installed on my M1123 had 9 or 10 round impacts, none made it...

    Tie rod end help

. Absolutely. If you compare in the parts manual, one is facing the opposite direction of the other. Looking at the diagram, the Left Hand Threaded (Not to be confused as a left side for the truck) is item number 17, and is installed on the right looking at the back with the threads pointing...

    Tie rod end help

I am sure you will be able to get it spot on by yourself. The tolerance is 1/4 to 3/8" IIRC. With enough patience you can save all them $$$ for the next breakdown.

What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

Search for 9340011853757 or 9340-01-185-3757, page 255-4, item 55, in the TM 9-2320-280-24P-1 for the original windshield which is bullet resistant.. Many others offer, shop around. Fleabay is a good source and they are getting more expensive by the day. If you are looking for the ballistic...

    Tie rod end help

I was able to get the toe in adjusted to specs. You will need to disconnect the rods from the truck after you took you measurements. Adjust them by turning the ends one at a time (in or out depending on what your goal is) until desired length. I had to put in back into the truck 4 times on one...

    Tie rod end help

. Hey there, yes, I had the very same thing on my newly purchased truck. Follow the story here: https://www.steelsoldiers.com/threads/stuck-tie-rod-ends.220424/ What turned out to be was the last active duty Marine working on these installed two right had ends on one tie rod, and two left...

I hope that is the DOT approved material? I like the idea of getting the tint. For that cost, you could get a pair shipped to you that have the DOT stamp, and are bullet resistant... I needed to replace one, but did both, and am very happy with them. My original window fell victim to a shooting...

1097r1 blower motor won't turn on

. Are the wipers working? Keep in mind, for mobility purposes the windshield folds down and forward to lower the overall height. There are pins on either side if the assembly that hold it in place. With that said, the electrical connection from the truck to the windshield are three metal...

    It's alive!!!

I couldn't tell you, once I saw that I continued to remove the box for more T/S. As soon as I disconnected the under dash connector and tried the switch again, the light did not come back on. So I assumed it is a capacitor powering the system and not a "ghost" exciter. That gave me pause and I...
