I have had at any one time 6 or 7 of my own trucks, but that ebbs and flows as folks always want to buy my personal trucks even when not for sale…everything has a price, im not married to any one truck, I had an H1 for 19yrs….eventually I just sold It, I get bored quickly once I’m done it, I...
Brake shudder from the rears after new pads and rotors is quite common, it’s a real PITA to convince customers after spending a bunch of money this is normal…beveled edge on pads is some help, but unfortunately with these floating pads and a job done correctly, it just takes time to burnish them...
You said these are cheap amazon Glow plugs, Have you metered all the other glow plugs to verify they are actually good?
I’ve seen these cheap GP’s look fine….but are dead as dead comes, no swelling, no nothing.
looks are not a test…using the meter is the standard.
I’ve responded to this on FB…this is quite simple to TS, pull the GP lead and run the truck as normal, if you aren’t getting a melted GP?

I guess you can do anything you feel is justified.
many of these trucks have collapsed catalytic converters due to long idle times and JP fuel usage, drop the turbo down pipe and drive it…if not change your Turbo charger isn't working….
As you can see, look how thin the tube is as it is flattened out so it doesn’t hit the flex plate…literally a small amount of sand or debris clogs the tube, it’s actually impossible to keep it clear under normal operating conditions.
The problem with following the TM is, is that a lot procedures are old and outdated.
using the term “glow plug controller“ for example on late model trucks, because it changed to a Temp sending unit and the term ”GPC”
is no longer valid, same as when they refer to PCB “Protective control box”...
Unplugging the the hole is a bad idea if the tube is removed, as it is on the melton rebuilds, all that water will end up on the rear main seal…even with the drain working, you will have water in the valley, the water exits the front the motor at the low spot around the timing cover.
if you want...
