    The Detroit can do something the new Diesels can’t do… run on vegetable oil and bioDiesel. The lower compression IP can tolerate the higher viscosities that the newer 10,000 PSI IPs cannot.

    Clean up the oil catch we call a catalytic converter. Back pressure from that causes issues. HummerH1 and I cleaned our multiple units up and they run like scalded dogs. MPG also improves.

    Loosen the bolts and make sure brackets are loose. Muriotic acid 1:3 ratio. At least two hours. Then wash and place in oven at 200 degrees for an hour to remove the acid. Then penetrating oil and heat alternately.

    I have become convinced that every HMMWV and Hummer should have a 500-1000 Amp cutoff switch. That ends the issues with battery drain.

    I respectfully submit that this is not an economy car. If you are pinching pennies, I strongly suggest you get a Toyota Camry or a Nissan rogue. You will never see better than 14 miles to the gallon unless you do a Duramax swap

    This is a Hummer, not a Lotus. I want rims that won’t bend offroad and tires that won’t pinch in NYC foot deep potholes. I don’t mean to be “that guy” and a downer, but putting a HMMWV on a diet just doesn’t make sense. Maybe an all Aluminum F150 is more your style? Get Cepek alloy rims or...

    Water is always in the valley. Why would that affect anything? Water dripping from the oil filter is not the same as oil IN the oil pan.

    Shouldn’t be stuck. I spun my engine with the starter. Maybe hydrolocked? Open all glowplugs to allow pressure to escape. I see no reason why driving through rain would affect the IP. I’m not understanding your logic, so I’m confused by your actions and your diagnosis.
