Somewhere in the forum, from at least three years ago and probably more, someone took out the guts of their HMMWV flasher box and replaced with an aftermarket 24V unit. I’m certain you could do the same with one made to accept LED. There were pictures and instructions.
There are two main types of transmission controllers. The newer ones have no port for and therefore cannot accept the EEPROM chip.

I also question the V-belt, four pulley power steering unit with the updated alternator that I think should be belt driven.
Are you just going by the gauge, or did you test the voltage with a meter.
Could be bad gauge, corroded gauge ground wiring, bad gauge wiring, bad ground strap, or bad generator or bad regulator.
I probably missed things too. I’m no expert.
Will, once you replace an IP on a HMMWV and then need to repeat the process for a failed unit, odds are you will never again purchase a re-manufactured unit.
Warranty won’t replace time and busted knuckles.
