The "HOOD IN THE FACE" club

Had the same thing happen while driving a '57 Studebaker Golden Hawk at 130 MPH! Hairy, to say the least.

    2012 Haspin BS/parts thread

I'll be looking for a Deuce master cylinder rebuild kit, and the springs for the parking brake shoes. Also fuel can holders. I'll be in Haspin sometime Thursday. Look for a Deuce with a white SEABEE flag, it's probably me!

Are these A3s you guys are talking about? I'm just curious because I can't imagine how a stick transmission can slip.:?

    m-35 studebaker arctic test truck

I had given my old rotted cover & rear wall to a guy in Michigan. He advertised it here for a long time while the ads were free. Haven't seen it since then.

    m-35 studebaker arctic test truck

The cargo cover on mine was simply 2 layers of heavy canvas with fiberglass insulation in between, attached to the lower edge of the bed with metal strips & bolts all around. Took it off because couldn't roll sides up, then found out it was rotted anyway. Also had the plexiglass windows in the...

    Door Locks

I've put the locking "garage door" or "RV" handles on 4 trucks. About $20 each from a locksmith. The square shafts are not as hard as the original ones. Two of the four are so worn they won't work anymore.

    2012 Haspin BS/parts thread

I plan on coming. I'll be offering all my fuel-fired heaters for sale or trade. They just don't work on WMO. I'll have a few other things too I'm sure.

    M35 turn signal problem

If ANYTHING flashes, the flasher is working. It switches the power to the turn signal circuit on & off. That's all it does.

    Remote brake fluid reservoir

Mine's in the corner by the driver's seat. I glance at it every time I get in & out. I lose about 4 oz of fluid a year from a bad seal/gasket on the MC cap. Too much trouble to worry about.

    wire size and distance

You really need to move generator closer. Then #10 wire would be sufficient for 30 amps. Ground the generator & each building.

    long term storage of wmo

I'm currently using some I got 3-4 years ago. Runs fine. I don't think it will go bad. I usually thin my WMO with gasoline, as it's cheaper than diesel. I suppose the gasoline portion of my mix might "go bad", but I sure can't tell it. I use old 2-cycle mix that's been around a long time...

    towing

On the original subject: I've towed 30,000 pounds with a non-turbo Deuce, about 60 miles. Had air brakes hooked up. Not really a problem if you're in no hurry:lol:

    Leaking Deuce

Compared to my trucks, yours is dry. I'm not worried about it.
