VB,
Ask Kenny and a few others about how I can easily talk on my cell phone in 'Storm! I do it quite a bit with her! The NAPA muffler and the 1D turbo both help out quite a bit! I'll have some pics to post of 'Storm when I get back from IA and KY for y'all to enjoy as well.
IDA,
I bought mine for $200 including all taxes and fees. I was bidding against two trucking companies and we all wound up paying the same once everyone realized we only wanted one each (three bidders and three converters that time).
Check with either Hookin' 1 or EddieC. They're in my old hometown just two hours away. When I got my converter from Ft. Campbell I used my car carrier to go get it. It hung over the passenger side but made it safely. 'Storm was too expensive (with fuel) at the time to get the set. :driver:
Does anyone know the civvy version for the oil filter on a diesel MEP 701A? I'll find the NSN this evening if that would help. I think it's printed on the filter.
Here's the open-to-the-public website to help convert coal into diesel and a few other goodies as well. I'll be working/learning on this in my spare time and with Ken. This is an open invite for anyone else to help out with figuring this bugger out. www.fischer-tropsch.org .

That is incredibly sooooooo sweet!! What an outstanding piece of hostory that (for once) didn't go to waste or the scrapper!!!! Definitely a show stopper and an invaluable museum piece. I can't help viewing the story like the energizer bunny, reading it over and over and...
I'm looking to rebuild the injector distributor pump on the top of the engine on DK's 1009. Lack of $$$ is holding it up. Same with the four door. Then it's onto a shake-down and interior work with some A/C for good measure.
M35,
Here's some more help. The space between the hood and side panel is intentional so when you go off-roading the hood won't gouge the side panel or the side panel damage the hood. da sgt posted some very good pics. of just this flexing and how important the gap truly is.
As far as the...
This has been most interesting reading to say the least. It would be nice and perhaps in an ideal world it would happen. But we are in the beginning stages of developing feasible alternative and perhaps renewable sources of energy. Some one comes along and says they have the key to unlock...
