Guys,
Try 600+ miles in one day with not one but TWO pieces of MV equipment being towed on the back and no way to back up PLUS putting the gross weight waaaaaayyyy over 15 tons(34,000+ pounds with the weigh ticket to prove it!). I submit my first move to Houston from Indiana. I also submit my...

You know what sucks for me. I'm off Fri thru Mon this week. Still can't make it though. My wife and I are looking to have another child so as long as we don't conceive in Aug I might be able to make it next year.
Kenny, it sounds like you have some, um, er, interesting, yeah...
GT,
Thanks for the pics! I'm sure everyone will benefit from them! I'm tearing into the five ton brake system and 'Storm's when I get back home with new (to me) equipment to help me with the job.
Kenny,
Some of the older KWs I've driven had the same set-up. The shop was too lazy to swap things around to make safer trucks so the DoT came in and told the company the trucks were shut down. I'm not sure why this design wasn't banned from production, but the military was at least thinking...
Most impressive Kenny!!!!! I see the "ring worm" gottcha! Sure you didn't need to change your skivvies when you got home? Or was that the pucker power that saved the shorts? :jumpin: :jumpin:
I'd go for a sand blasting option and get rid of the white completely. Start over with a good primer and then paint it. Gilespie has some awesome paints. A cheap sprayer should do you well for this project. That's what I'm planning for both the M1009 my wife has and the four door I have...
See?!?!? Ken's a real pro when it comes to turbos. Once I get the $$$ for the Banks' I know where to go to get the professional finishing work done!!! Y'all should see the "little" workshop he has behind his house! It's sooooo sweeeet!!!!!!!!!
I'm planning on being with the Military Museum of Texas this year, like last year. We'll be in downtown Houston for the show. This time I'll have a diesel genset with an A/C unit to make the stay more comfortable (thanks McInfantry!!!!!!!). I'm sure my truck will be put near the center of the...
He is and then some. Ken's trying to get me to buy a Banks for each of my 6.2s. If I only had the $$$. It's very interesting watching Ken work with turbos since he does it for a living. Every time I see him in action I'm learning something new. I can't wait for my trucks to get off...
Kenny,
Is there ANYTHING you DON'T know?!?!?!?!?
Bjorn,
I wish I could have gotten a response i before you said it was someone else's truck. I was going to post something along the lines of "See, that's what happens when you fjord your truck too often, it turns blue from holding it's breath...
I'm now officially  ing over the CCC truck! I'd love to have it too but since I'm getting a five ton from Buddy Hammond I'll just have to be patient (again!!!!). Kenny, I hauled 35,000# one one of the moves from Indiana down here. Some of the bigger hills I had to drop down to fourth...
I strongly concurr with inspecting. Before my truck went up for auction in Chicago I inspected it TWICE and actually got to drive it once (just a quick back-and-forth 30 foot drive) and knew I had a winner. I've since put in well over $6K into her and am still turning wrenches on her almost...
Derby,
Where are you at? Please put it in your info and signature. That way we can help you better. BTW, GL does not issue an SF-97 with any vehicle anymore. So, unless you have a judge as a good friend who's willing to help mandate the state issue you a title, you're in for a MAJOR...
