Pic #3. On the left is a SB-4151 Power Distribution Unit PDU, right is O-1814 Reference Frequency Oscillator RFO. Used on the GRC-206 radio pallet. I actually installed a whole 206 pallet in a S-250 shelter when I was in USAF for in-the-field radio maintenance work.
I would have turned around and followed it. Let the scrapper buy it for scrap then offer to buy from him with a nice little cash premium over his cost.
If it were mine, Id fab up some shackle mounts in the front bumper that would accept the feet that the deuce uses. Would make it much easier to install and remove, and give it a better operating angle. IIRC the axle clamps were meant for lift towing with a wrecker.

If your still having problems check out this thread. It gives you all the #'s and wire color you need to trace out which wire should go where. Also as stated check the grounds on the lights. On the Mil lights the two light sockets in the housing have separate grounds, one uses one mounting...
Are the rims you're installing steel or alum. ? If they are steel wheels then yes the original lug nuts will work. If they are alum. Wheels you'll need new lug nuts
I would check your towbar over. There was an issue with the medium tow bars awhile ago.

There are to many variables. Loaded, unloaded, how high the center of gravity is on the load, speed, ect. The best indicator is seat of the pants feeling. If you feel it's to far over then stop and make a course correction. The angle gauge may say you're ok but if you have a tall load or...
Let us know what you hear. I would think that would mean any trailer you bring in. What's you plan for getting it home
? If you're planning on towing it home just make sure you have the proper hitch and some 12v lights you can stick on it.
