How wide are you going to be in the rear with dualed out " super singles"? I'm no engineer but I don't think doubled up leaf spring set up will work very well either..
That guy is going to regret sending out that info in the email. I'm guessing he will research maybe the first 3 or 4 that he gets and then realize his inbox will be continually stuffed full of requests all the time from guys wanting to know about their trucks
no by the pic I can't tell the build has started, all I see is a Jeep backed up to a 105 trailer.
All everyone here is doing is trying to keep you from wasting your time and money on something your not going to be happy with. What's the point if your already going to remove the bed and put an...
I don't have any advice on the trucks, most major parts for any of the trucks are easy to come by ( if you know where to look, and steel soldiers is the place to start when ever you need a part or advice) but sine you have a gun business ( depending on what type of business ) I would suggest...
You need to determine if the front wheels are spinning the driveshaft or is the transfer case spinning it? We need more info. Were you stuck and the shaft was spinning but not the wheels (either one) or where you driving down the street and had a way to see the shaft spinning? Or up on a...
Should be pretty easy to find a fender with the cut out in it. Turn around and sell your non cut fender to someone building a custom truck that wants to reroute their exhaust
Get the biggest hammer you can and hit the end of the lunette straight on, as if your trying to drive it towards the back of the trailer, several times, along with hitting the sides and top. It will pop loose
Should be same wheels inner and outer. (That way the spare with fit anywhere). I would like to see the two different deuce wheels you have that have different offsets
Thats the first thing I thought of when I saw this thread. If I were the owner I would be pissed that someone I hired to do some work took pictures of the inside of my private property then posted them online AND stated that I am not around the property for months at a time.
But thats just me.
I converted a M105 trailer to dump like this. ( wish I hadn't sold it). It's really not that hard for someone with some fab skills. Just need to change the pivot points from angled to the frame to parallel to the frame.
Just out of curiosity, did you all not notice the tank selector valve on the floor next to the seat and wonder what it was for before you even started your truck for the first time? I know once I was I my M818 for the first time I looked all over the cab just to see what everything was.
Can't help with the brake, ( other than the parts TM should have a pretty good drawing of how the parts are aligned ) but yes there should be a cover and no plug in the threaded boss. Actually you take the plug out of the hole that it is currently in and install it in the open hole for water...
With disassembly the pins can be swapped but like 73 said just splicing could be easier. Just for fun I would try tracing out the harness and see if someone made it up wrong at some other point in the harness.
Yes it can be taken apart. loosen the clamp at the back end of the connector and grab the connector in one hand and the cable in the other and push them together. The metal sleeve that holds all the pins should push out of the front of the connector. You can work the pins back in place once...
just get a small chain hoist from any farm supply type store.
as for modifying for loading the bed check with Gimpyrobb, he has done it. Check post #25 in this thread. http://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?34231-Head-board-crane&p=1101521&viewfull=1#post1101521
