I used both the Ceramic Insulation and Sound Control Lizard skin on the Cab ceiling/topper roof and floor.
Both applications work well. Floor was finished off with Line-X - right over the top of the lizard skin.
I live in the desert. In dead August my hand can feel little heat when placed on...

I installed the same cooling retrofit as Rusty on my 1009. Difference is my 373 gears ( 1 Tons ) and Banks Turbo.
Before retrofit I was sometimes charting 205-220 on the temp gauge with stock 308 gears and 3/4 ton axles, ~ 2350 rpm while climbing from 2600 to 3600 in 10 miles and depressed at...
This is the chap who built/installed my interior cage....http://www.hunteroffroad.com/. ( Tempe AZ ) Outstanding fab skillset, lots of patience and overall cool dude. Bonafide KA welder. Check out his website.
After his work I installed a removable harness bar for the five point harnesses (...
10/4 on the location. I see you're in Tempe. John Hunter (Hunter offroad) in Tempe did my roll cage. More than excellent work. Great guy too. He also scored my Blac Rac mounts. I drive mostly at night when temps are a bit cooler. When I day drive its mostly in the desert on 2 trackers around...
I kinda like the blue color. Reminds me of dingo balls hanging from the headliner. In that I drive a lot by the southern border the multi color engine look helps me blend in with the natives. :-P I do like the idea of the steel braid. July/August/Sept desert driving temps under the hood are...
Factory, OEM 208. Case has been through some rough times in the AZ outback. Case components were pleasingly tight when it came apart to add the SYE which came from Tom Woods ( Ogden ). Excellent service, 2 day turn around and I live 900 miles away from the dude. I called in with the shaft...
Each reader can do their own individual evaluation of the data.
I'm just gonna report. You decide. ( mmmm...maybe I can get a job doing the nightly news}
Traveled the Ajo AZ desert this weekend ( 400+ miles) and collected pre-install data prior to installing coolant kit last night.
Kit went in well - no leaks. Tight install.
Will travel desert again this weekend and collect post install data.
I expect coolant temps to stay out of the 200+...
Rust never sleeps. Every rust spot I cut out was followed by the following

before welding in the patch steel. The product comes with a very long tube to insert
way up into the passage way in all directions between the two metal...
The ORD kit worked well for me. The frame was cracked in 4 places in and around the steering box. ( self-inflicted misery )
Plan on maybe having to hog out the steering box bolt holes in the weld plate a bit if you use the weld kit, maybe even with the bolt on kit.
Also, read and FOLLOW the...
