With the B/O switch in the ON position there is an added relay under the dash the gets energized. I had the same
issue on my CUCV2 and made a bypass of the B/O switch. Didn't have any more issues of the 12v side draining the battery
Don't forget to check the front axle. It may be in the same shape. Also flush the brake lines before hooking them up to the clean cylinders. Looking forward to the first test drive.

If you do it on the stand with a slight rotation of the stand you can get the fluid all round the rings instead of just on the bottom. Just thinking out loud.
